How to be an arab: Marriage

Arab parents are sort of obsessed with marriage. Specifically arab mothers.

I mean, not only do they always speak about other peoples marriages in a 3ozoumah with other woman, but they also speak about you and how they want you to get married. Then they speak of future prospects!  Oh gosh! I think it's the worst during weddings though.

They speak about you getting married even of you're 13! Seriously! It's annoying. I doubt any 13 year olds want to get married. Lol

The dads either side with the mothers or they don't want you to get married because they'll miss you too much. *cue awwww's*

Lol, same ol' traditional parents. Lol, following in their ancestors footsteps by getting their child married at a very young age.

AssalamuLaykum!

While I was writing this chapter, I got this very awkward flashback.

So here it is:

So we were at a mozhara(protest) and my mum met this Khalto who came from Egypt. So they hit on pretty well and all and Khalto asked how many children my mum has and how old we are and that. So my mum answered her and when Khalto found out her son is the same age as me and  you know what she said?

She said, "Ahh! Maybe we should get them in a room to study together when it's exams. They'll help one another. So cute."

I can't even remember what my mum said but she laughed and winked at me. She winked at me.

And I was right there by them. It was the awkwardest situation ever. *hides*

Anyway, that's what happen. I don't even know what to think. And turns out  this boy is my best friends brother. 🙈

So awkward.
Anyway, has anything like that happened to you? Do comment about it! It will really cheer me up considering I started school this Monday.

I also have another question, how old do you guys think I am based on my account and writing or anything?

Yip! So let me know what you think about this chapter.

Hope you all stay safe. Don't get in trouble with Mama. Lol
