Brian took my hand as we walked to the car, Sal trailing alongside. I listened as they discussed some of the classes sketches. I was proud that some of the kids really impressed them. My hand tightened around Brian's as I saw Tom walking towards his car. Brian looked at me questioning. I nodded towards Tom.
He leaned down and kissed the top of my head. "I'm gonna sort it." At that, he released my hand and jogged over towards Tom.

I stood by my car with Sal, gnawing on my nail, as I watched Brian talk with Tom. I glanced at Sal, suddenly worried as his brow furrowed. "What is it Sal?"
He shook his head. "Nothing, I just don't want him to cause any more trouble." After a few anxious minutes, Brian jogged back over to us.
"All sorted." He kissed my cheek.
I looked at him in disbelief. "That's it? All sorted? Just like that?"
Brian looked at me over the top the car. "Yes. Just like that." He grinned and climbed into the passenger seat.
I shook my head in disbelief. Men were unbelievable. I'd never understand them.

"Right onto more important things!" Sal announced and clapped his hands as we started the drive home. "THANKSGIVING!!"
"I'm gonna stop you right there Salvatore. We can't discuss this without Oli, she would kill us."
Sal huffed. "Fine."
I looked at him in the rear view mirror. "But while we are on the subject of Oli. What's going on there Sal?"
I watched him shrug. "I dunno. She's still speaking to Casey so..." He trailed off, his eyes sad.
"Oh Sal." I reached my arm behind me and squeezed his knee. "I didn't realise you liked her so much. Just fucking go for it dude. If that's what you really want." I smiled at him in the mirror and glanced at Brian. We had some matchmaking to do over the next few days.

We spent the evening sat around the kitchen table, eating Chinese food and discussing what we were going to have for Thanksgiving on Thursday. Everyone was arguing over what to have. I didn't particularly care, as long as it was decided soon because we had to go and buy all the food. I just hoped the supermarkets had turkeys this early.

I jumped up to make some tea, rolling my eyes at Oli and Sal bickering over what food to have. I smiled as I felt arms wrap around my waist and hot breath on the back of my neck. "Shall we just leave them to it?" Brian murmured into my ear. I turned to him, wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him close to me. "You think anything would get decided? They're like children." I sniggered. I stretched up and kissed him lightly on the lips. "Let's get this sorted then we can get the shopping out of the way." I finished making my tea and sat back down.

Two hours later and we were in the supermarket. I spent half the time shouting at Brian and Sal to stop pissing around with the trolleys and the other half trying to find out how Oli really felt about Sal.
"Oh come on Olivia. Just admit it. I see how you pair are together. You want him as much as he wants you, so just go for it."
"But..." She started but I cut her off.
"I swear to god if you mention Casey I am going to kick your ass. You're only texting. Yeah you two get on, but compared to the chemistry between you and Sal, it's nothing. Will you just fuck him already? If only to stop his puppy dog eyes."
"SHAE!" Oli punched me hard in the arm.
"Ow! Ok, sorry but seriously. You like each other. And we both know it's going to happen before he leaves anyway, so just get it out of the way."
Oli stopped and turned to face me. "Urgh. I know... I just don't want to deal with the whole long distance thing. I can't, Shae."
I wrapped my arm around her shoulder. "I know chick, but is it really worth denying how you feel...and stringing Casey along for that matter...just because you don't want to deal with what may or may not happen in the future? He is here for 4 more days Oli. Make the most of it, is all I'm saying."
I stopped then because Sal came screeching round the corner, almost crashing his trolley into the shelves. He was closely followed by an out of breath Brian.
"You two are worse than kids." Oli shook her head, laughing.
I threw my hands up in defeat. "I'm not dealing with you children right now. Is that everything? I want to go home."

On the way to the check out, I grabbed a couple of bottles of Jamesons. If Oli and Sal weren't going to do anything themselves, then I was going to push them in the right direction.
