Competition - Day Two

Chapter 3

After waking up, I got showered and dressed as quietly as I could before waking Olivia. It was only 8 but if we wanted to make the most of the day we had to be gone by half 8.

Olivia got up without a word and darted into the bathroom, I think she knew what I was thinking. After she was done, we went out to the kitchen to get breakfast. Mum, dad and Link were in there.

"Good morning early birds" Mum said with a big smile on her face.

"Morning" I said taking a seat.

"Pancakes girls?" Link asked.

"Yes please" we both sang in harmony.

"Here you go" Link said putting a plate in front of each of us. We ate quickly to keep ahead of everyone else.

"Maggie, what time did you say the cars would be here?"

"Well as the first group you have Link as your driver, so as soon as you finish your breakfast you may go"

I looked at Olivia then at Link.

"Ready?"

"Yeah, let's go!" Olivia said jumping up, grabbing her bag and darting out of the room.

"So I guess that's my queue to leave!" Link and I said in unison, starting to leave.

"Bye" I said as I got to the door way, we quickly walked outside to the car closest parked to the end of the drive. It was Link blue Saab convertible.

"Your cars falling apart!" I said as I got in it.

"Well you haven't seen my wages!"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well- oh it doesn't matter" he replied, I could tell he had to stop before he got himself in trouble for letting something slip about who I really was. God this hidden life was so hard!

"Where are we going?" he said as we drove to the end of the drive way.

"Here" I said typing the address into the satnav.

"Will you girls what me to come in with you?"

"Why?"

"Yes!" Olivia shouted, it was the first word she'd sais since getting in the car and made us all burst out with laughter. She went as red as a tomato.

"I'll come if you want then I can carry you bags and baskets then you have both hands free"

"Alright but no moaning"

Suddenly a text came through

I only did it so you two would spend some time together. By the end of this week you'll be dating  xx

I quickly replied

No we won't; I don't even know him xx

But you're both flirting? Xx

Flirting? I'm really not xx

Alright but I know what's going to happen xx

"Alright you two anti-sociable people, we are here" Link said as he pulled into an empty space, the shop didn't open until 9 and it was ten to. We must have been quicker than we thought we were going to be or Link speeded.

"Cheers for the heads up" I said loading up subway surfers on my phone, I had ten minutes to kill, what else was I meant to do?
