Chapter 16

Link: Hey, what you doing tonight? Xxxxx <3

My face lit up when I read the text. Whatever Link's talking about, we're meeting up tonight and I can't wait because I haven't seen him in a week.

Me: Something with you now xxxx <3

Link: Good :D I’m picking you up at 7 xxxxx <3

Me: Alrightyy :D Where we going? Xxxxx <3

Link: Out for tea, don’t worry, wear something casual xxxxx <3

Me: Where we going then? Xxxxx <3

Link: It’s a surprise xxxxx <3

Me: Please tell me xxxxx<3

Link: Just wait, you only have two hours… that’s not long xxxxx <3

Me: Alright I give up :) See you later xxxxx <3

"MUMMMMM" I shouted, refusing to move from my bed but I know I am going to need her help.

"Did you call, Lucie?" Mum said poking her head around my door.

"Yeah, I'm going out for tea with Link. Can you help me pick out an outfit?"

"Of course, I would love to" Mum said as she walked over to my wardrobe.

"I'm just going for a shower"

"Okay but don’t be too long you only have an hour and a half to get ready"

"Alright"

After having a quick shower, I came out of my bathroom to find my mum had put about six outfits across my bed and now was going through all my shoes, which I kept in their boxes still. It's easier to store them that way.

"We really need to sort out your wardrobe!" Mum said still facing away from me but knowing I was in the room, "Try on one of the outfits on your bed"

"Okay" I said as I picked up a dark purple peplum top and a black disco pants which was both from Mum's new clothing line, "What about this?"

“I don’t think it will be right”

“Do you know where we are going?” I asked as I picked up a skater dress with an Aztec design on it and cut out parts on the hips.

“Maybe” Mum said with a smile, "You look lovely"

"Yayhh! Which shoes?"

"I'm not sure, I’ll keep looking"

"How about my brown sandals with this type of pattern on them?"

"Which are?"

"Here" I said pulling out a box with the shoes in.

"Perfect"

"Goodie, now I’m ready to go"

"Not with your hair like that!"

"What's wrong with it?"

"Just sit down"

"Alright"

"Now, are you going to do your make-up?"

"I can’t do it while you’re doing my hair"

"You can"

"Alright but if I look like a clown it's your fault"

My stood and curled my hair in big loose curls, that made my hair look longer than it normally does when it's curled. I had done my eye make-up in black smoky eye which made my hazel eyes look brighter and bigger. I added a light wash of foundation and blusher with a nude lip stick so that my eyes are the main focus point and my make-up isn't too much.

"You look amazing!" Mum said as we stood in my room looking in the mirror.

"Thank you mummy!"

"Lucie? Link's here" Dad called from downstairs.

"Coming” I called back" as I grabbed my black clutch bag a walked downstairs. Link was waiting at the bottom of the stairs watching me walk down. I could see his eyes light up when he saw me. He was dressed in chinos and a light blue shirt on, that made his eyes even bluer.

He looked so handsome.

"You look gorgeous!" Link said

"Not bad yourself" I said with a smile.

"Ready to go?" Link asked breaking me away from my thoughts.

"Yeah, Bye" I said as we walked to Link's car, "So where we going?"

"Wait and see" Link said kissing me on the cheek as he opened the car door for me.

"Oh okay, if I have to"

"Yes and don't try puppy eyes, you know it doesn't work on me"

"Oh great, well I will have to keep kissing you until you tell me"

"If you do that then we will never leave your drive"

"That sounds better to me" I said giggling.

"What would your parents say?" he said starting the car.

"I don’t care"

"Really?"

"Yep"

"Well I will hold you to that for the future"

"That's alright with me, shall we go somewhere?"

"Yep"

"Can you at least tell me, how long it's going to take till we get there?"

"Nope"

"Why not?"

"Because you will keep guessing where we are going, making it harder for me to keep it from you"

"Alright"

We sat chatting about anything and everything for a good half an hour or more until Link pulled up outside a barn like building surrounded by a forest.

"We're here"

"Where's here?"

"One of the best restaurants I know of"

Thank you guys. I’m so happy to of reached 100 reads. It might not mean much to you but to me it means loads.

I was worried that I was only writing for one or two people and I was starting to think about taking it down and just using wattpad to read other people's stories but now I am going to finish this book then think about writing another one. I am aiming to have between 9-14 more chapters depending on how it flows. Just wait and see.
