Chapter 15

"Is it true?"

"Which fashion school you going to?"

"How did anyone know that you're any good?"

"Did it happen after one of the competitions?"

"Are you Lucie?"

"I've never seen you before in my life"

"Since when have you been to this school?"

"OMG, is it true?"

"I don't believe it"

"You're lying"

"Are you going to be leaving England?"

"Is it a famous school?"

"Where is it?"

"What is it called?"

A million and one questions being fired at me, thanks to Mr Smith's goodbye speak in assembly; he only did it not of kindness because he knows I hate to be in the lime light. I really don't think I can make it through the rest of the day at school if everyone is going to question me. Going home early on your last day here is it possible? I hope so because if people don't stop talking to me I will be.

"Hey Luc, in here" Abbie shouts pulling me into a classroom out of the way of everyone else.

"You okay girls?" The teacher asked as we closed the door behind ourselves.

"No miss, Lucie leaves today and Mr Smith just told everyone in assembly about it so now no one is leaving her alone." Abbie explain.

"Oh right, your more than welcome to stay in here till next lesson then girls"

We sat down by a desk at the far end of the room just chatting. I could tell it was hurting Abbie to say goodbye to me, I feel the same way. Best friends are like family.

**

To celebrate me leaving and finishing all my exams, mum and dad took me, Abbie and Katherine to a private restaurant they know of. That way we can go without someone finding out about my parents. At least that's what we thought until the waiter turns around and says "Hi, I'm Josh your waiter for the evening.... I recognise you.... Lucie isn't it?"

Not only is he good-looking and from our school but he's the most popular person at school. If he recognises mum or dad I'm screwed.

"Yeah"

"I know where from, your moving to a fashion school, aren't you?"

"Yeah"

"Well I wish you luck, don't forget about us kids at Northfront High when you become famous!" he said letting out a little laugh. Just because he's popular doesn't mean he's an idiot like the rest. "Can I get a drinks order?"

"I'll have diet lemonade no ice thanks" I ask for

"Diet coke"

"We only have Pepsi max, will that be alright?"

"Yeah fine"

"I'll have the same"

"And me, cheers son"

"I will have a J20 please, the apple and mango one if you have it please"

"I will bring your drinks over then take your orders, thank you" he said as he turned and walked away.

"He's good-looking" Mum said nudging me in the side.

"Mum!" I said shooting her a glare.

"Oh yeah, sorry I forgot"

"Forgot what?" Katherine shouted with a fear of missing out on something.

"About Lucie's boyfriend" Mum said without thinking.

"You have a boyfriend?" Abbie and Katherine screamed in unison.

"Yes"

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"Because"

"Lucie, tell them"

"Why?"

"Because they are your best friends"

"They don't know him"

"They know of him but I get what I mean"

"Alright, I'm going out Link Heartly"

"What!" The pair said in unison.

"You're going out with him? How's that possible?"

"Thanks guys!"

"Sorry, it's just a bit of a surprise that's all"

"She's also got a job working with him" Mum stated.

"What!" They said again in unison.

"Here are your drinks, Lemonade"

"Here"

"Pepsi"

"Here"

"Here"

"Here"

"And J20"

"Here, thank you"

"Are you ready to order?"

"Not yet"

"Okay, just shout me when you are ready"

"Will do, thank you"

The rest of the meal went without any more surprises and the food was pretty nice. Now it's just a waiting game to see if Josh says anything.
