"You made me so happy, again and again, no matter what happened, I thought you'd always make me smile."

When Sam woke up it was dark. He blinked and looked around the room. Where was he?
Oh yeah. By the pounding in the back of his head, he remembered what had all happened that day. It was late, the blinds were no longer letting any kind of light through which made it seem like it was closer to 8 or 9 at night. It was late none the less. He sat up and his head pounded again.
Groaning quietly he leaned over and let his forehead touch his knees as he curled up. Why did this have to happen to him of all people? He just wanted to go to sleep at this point and not wake up. When he did manage to sit back up again, he looked around the room. There still was no personalization to it. He wondered where Aki was. Standing cautiously, he made his way ever so slowly to the door and opened it up to see the dark haired male sitting on the couch on his laptop, he looked like your average teenager like this.
"Hey." Sam said stepping farther into the room. Aki looked up.
"Hey, you feel okay?" Sam nodded gingerly and came farther into the room, Aki closed the computer and set it aside. "Want something to eat?" he asked, standing.
"No, I don't have much of an appetite." Sam said, looking at the ground as Aki moved towards him. His grace with such a body was amazing. Sam couldn't help but admire. The hand that touched his head and moved his hair to check the gash on the back of his head was gentle, caring, careful. He seemed so different then the jagged edge he'd let out at school. He was quieter, more confident here than in a crowd. And he was much more confident in a fight than in a school hallway.
Sam wondered why he hadn't been sent out yet.
"Are you okay?" Sam asked, looking up at Aki. Aki nodded.
"I'm okay."
Even after it seemed Aki had finished inspecting Sam's wound they stood there in close proximity for a while. Aki smelled good, like spice with mint. Sam was almost sure he smelled like sleep. Aki's arms were strong, the muscles pulsed when his hand moved. His shoulders broad, his collarbones... Sam needed to stop before he got too low but Aki wasn't helping with the fitted shirt he was in. His abs were a hard thing to miss with how they bent the fabric covering them.
"You shouldn't go to school tomorrow."
"Why not?
"Because any extra noise will spark a headache." Aki told him removing his hand and letting it fall into his pocket as he stepped back then walked towards the little kitchen.
"I can deal with a headache." Sam muttered. Aki chuckled, it was deep and intoxicating.
"I don't doubt it, but a day of sleep won't kill you." he said coming back with a glass of water and two pills. "Advil." he told him. Sam nodded a thanks and took the pills and drank the water. Only to realize how dry his throat was.
"Have you had injuries like this before?" Sam asked, he seemed to know what he was talking about.
Aki nodded.
"More than one?"
He nodded again.
"What happened?"
"A lot of things."
Sam frowned, that wasn't an answer. Not a good one at least.
"Aki?"
