"You sure you want me coming with you?" Aki said making no move to stop walking hand in hand with Sam down the street.

"Yeah." Sam said. "I don't want to go in there alone."

They were going to Sam's old house to pick up a few things of Sam's. Tomorrow they were going to be flying to the main Company building where Aki lived. One more day in the town he hated. Where his father died and he felt alone. Where he met Cassie and the girls. Where he grew up. Where he fell in love. But the town had more bad memories than good, just like this house they stood in front of. Sam reached up to his eye with his free hand where his father had hit him about a week prior.

Aki squeezed his hand lightly and opened the door for Sam to walk in. The brunet offered him a soft smile as thanks and trudged in, kicking his shoes off at the doorway as he'd been raised to all his life. He  didn't know why he bothered but it was still his old house, still the rules were to be applied.

Aki followed suit and kicked off his old combat boots that he'd pulled out of the closet that morning. Sam smiled, he'd teased Aki for them only to receive the most confused and deadpan response from the male. They were comfy. Good enough he supposed.

As the younger male trotted up the stairs as he usually did, he looked around the house and the hallway for the last time. For a suburban house it was on the larger size but still small considering he knew his father was loaded supposedly. With the business he was in he had to be right?  Turning into the last room on the left he found the paint was still bright when the sun shown through the window. It was around 11:00 am at this point. He sighed and looked at the place he'd lived, drawn, studied. Where he'd taken so many adventures through the pages of books.

He opened his bag and started pulling things he would need now, Aki had explained to him that they could have some of the companies men come and gather his clothes and belongings or he could take the items he wanted and put some in storage. That meant he'd have to get all new clothes at the company but he wasn't sure exactly what he wanted to do in this case. Putting a few books, and a few knick-knacks in his pack, turning back to put a picture with him and the girls from last summer he held it for a moment longer. They'd be going to Hawaii together but still it seemed like so far off.

"You okay?" Aki asked, sam turned to see him looking around from the doorway.

"Yeah." He said in a sigh. This room... he wondered if this was what it would've felt like if he'd only moved out for college or something along those lines. He supposed it would feel something like this. He wondered if he was going to feel the need to grieve for his father or not. He was never really around to begin with...

Shaking his head slightly he walked up to the dark haired male and dropped the bag on the floor beside them. Reaching up to take the males face between his hands he leaned up, urging Aki to lean down. As they kissed, a sweet soft innocent kiss, he smiled and let his chin drop after a minute or so.

"Now I have a good memory in this room." He whispered against Aki's lips. The older male's eyes smiled gently though not obvious on his lips. Sam pecked at his cheek once and dropped back on his heels again. "Come on. We still have to go to the school."

Aki nodded and took Sam's hand, being led out of the room and out of the house. They did stop at the apartment to put away some of the things Sam had grabbed from the house. They still needed to go to the school to grab Sam's transcript so he could "transfer" to the school near where he was moving. Really he'd just get online classes to keep his education up as Aki had till he reached a suitable level in the companies eyes. Most people might not have retired from the company alive, but he wouldn't be out in the field so there was a promised chance he'd continue to thrive even if something happened to his boyfriend.
