"And yet you stood stronger than all of them."

It wasn't later that day they spoke about it, they hadn't spoken about what Sam would do after Aki's job here was done yet. Frankly, the older male was concerned about the matter and not bringing it to major attention was the way he was coping with such a fact. That weekend Sam said he had to go home and exchange the clothes he had at the apartment for ones he wasn't wearing every other day. Of course right as he was about to head out, Seven came bounding in spouting some nonsense to someone else on the phone. Stopping as soon as she saw the position the two were in.
Sam was on Aki's lap, facing him, his fingers carefully tangled in the hair at the base of Aki's skull, Aki's hands wrapped relaxed around the brunet's torso.
"Hold on." She told the person on the line, Sam just looked at Aki a little confused and he huffed his annoyance. And with a click she had snapped a picture of the two of them.
"You're rather annoying." Aki muttered under his breath, his hands loosened about the boy and Sam slid off his lap and Aki stood as Sam grabbed his bag, ready to go home for a day and then come back.
"I'll see you tomorrow." Sam said, smiling up at Aki before heading for the door.
As soon as it shut behind him, Aki turned to look at Seven glaring at her and adding on crossed arms to seem... more intimidating, as if he needed the extra.
"Whaaaaaaaaat?" She cooed. "He makes you look so much happier! Is there something wrong with recording it?"
"Delete it."
"No!"
"Carly."
"Brat."
"Seven."
"Zeeeero!"
He glared at her then shook his head in obvious annoyance.
"Its probably for the best that he's not going to be around today. Considering you have a job to do here. Not just suck face on the couch." Aki glared at her over his shoulder, he'd pulled a silenced pistol out of the drawer next to the couch. "Ahha, no denial I see."
"Seven, if you don't want to be added to my target list, I suggest you shut up." he said in such a monotone voice that the woman's smile dropped from her face.
"I don't know what he sees in you." She said flopping down on the couch and grabbing her tablet from the side table. "You're such a Debbie-downer."
Aki didn't say anything but he knew what she meant. There was no reason to see him as the person Sam viewed him as. It was almost depressing for him to even think about it. He didn't know what to say other than a quick: "me too." before he left for the closet that had boxes stacked and guns stored. He picked up a rifle that one of the other agents built for him, and took it out to where Seven was busy tapping out something on the tablet for tonight. Wasn't a difficult job but one where he agreed with the woman, he'd rather not have Sam here tonight. The smaller boy was adamant about him getting enough rest to completely heal which made it difficult to get anything done that he was actually here for.
"Okay. So you're going to the Hartfield on the Tenth Days Avenue. And then North theres a planned travel time for the guy you're looking for who'll be passing at 10. There will be guards and they all need to be removed so your job is to get them to go off track and they'll end up through the warehouse district, I'll be picking you up afterwards behind the building and-"
