Chapter 19: Empty Promises
Avril's **POV**
"What the fuck do you want Luke?" The person spat.
"Not Luke." I said softy.
"Avril...Your awake! Are you ok I'm so so so sorry I didn't come after you. I didn't no what to do I was just shock, I didn't no what happened!" He rushed out.
"Michael I am perfectly fine."
"You passed out. I don't think that classifies as fine."
"It happens more than you think, but what I want to no is what the hell went down between you and Luke."
"Oh nothing."
"No really how dumb do you think I am? Not only did you answer the phone with 'What the fuck do you want Luke' but well, I saw you arguing with him! And for him to kick you out of his house you must have either done something mega stupid or killed someone."
"We'll it's not my fault that all those guys are jealous retards that need to get lives and stop getting involved in other people's business." He said anger filling his voice.
"Michael! Go grab a cup of calm the fuck down."
"No i will- wait, did you just quote me?"
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't." I said full of sass
"Ahh I think you just did."
"I am my own independent person Michael, do you think I would quote people."
"Yes, I do"
"Well I don't." The line went silent.
"Michael. I didn't call to yell at you. I call to let you no that I'm awake and I'm ok. Also to apologize for what ever it was that Luke did." I said softening my tone.
"No don't apologize for Luke. It was what I did. I would have done that same in his position. Actually I would have been worse, so don't worry."
"Av" I heard Luke call.
"Um I have to go mike, but just no that I'm sorry for running off earlier today." I had barely heard him say bye before I was forced to end the callas Luke.M walked in.
"You all good?" He asked standing in front of me.
"Yup" I nodded. He grabbed my hand and pulled me up into a hug. I rested me head on his shoulder breathing in his very familiar scent. His arms wrapped around me in a warm embrace.
"Can you promise me something?" Luke asked. I sighed and pulled away a little.
"Luke you no that I can't promise you anything"
"I just want you to try." He said looking deep into my eyes trying to read me.
"Never leave me again." I couldn't. I couldn't promise him that. I new I would break it. Because if I promised him that, I would have to promise it to myself too and that wasn't possible.
"I promise." I breathed out. My throat had gone dry.
The world is filled with many broken and empty things.
Each thrown away and forgotten about.
Broken toys and empty boxes.
Broken families and empty houses.
Broken souls and empty bodies.
Broken words and empty promises.
Luke pulled me into a hug again. But unlike the first hug this one felt cold to me.
He grabbed my hand and led me down stairs to the rest of the guys. They were sitting around eating pizza and watching the Avengers.i sat in the space on the couch between Luke.H and Kane.
"Good to have you back beautiful." Luke whispered to me.
"You want some pizza?" I took one look at it. On any other day I would have looked at it and seen the only thing that is more perfect than Austin Carlile. But today the pizza just looked oily and horrible.
"I think I'll pass thank." I said looked over at the tv. Kane looked at me shocked.
"Seriously Kane, she passed out you can't expect her to want to eat right now." Ash pointed out.
"Ok your right then but still." Luke wrapped his arm sound me and pulled me in closer. I just lied there listening to the guys laugh and talk. I don't remember when exactly but I fell asleep sometime during the movie, cause I remember the feeling of someone carrying me and placing me down on a bed.
I opened me eyes to find a shirtless Luke (M) fumbling around his room.
"What are you doing." I said barely above a whisper.
"Grabbing me things for the night. Go back to sleep av, ok. I'll see you in the morning." He said walking towards the door. I made some weird noise in protest to him leaving. He paused and spun around to face me.
"Don't go. Stay with me" I said a little louder. I saw him hesitate.
"Where are you going to sleep?" I asked remembering Jackson and Mav are staying over.
"The couch"
"No Luke, I don't want you on the couch just because I'm a little sick."
"One, you passed out and two, I really don't mind."
"I don't care" I said stubbornly.
"Are you sure" he asked unsure
"For fucks sake Luke, you practically my brother." He didn't respond he just walked over and joined me in the bed. I felt safer with him there beside me. I could feel his warm breath on my neck as he began drifting off to sleep. Were as I on the other hand just lied there thinking. It was one of my worser habits, one that would on some nights, keep me up till the early hours in the morning. Thankfully tonight wasn't one of those nights. Not long after I slipped into sleep. Letting my thoughts run wild.

I think I just compared Austin to pizza.....oh god. Ok it is meant as a good thing.
Just keep in mind that this is being written at 12:19 am and I have been going insane studying for my first wave of exams tomorrow. So no judgment!
