I went outside of the hospital wearing a mask that goes over my mouth because I wasn't released from the hospital, so I have to wear it so I don't get sick.
I was suppose to meet him right hear. At 12:30. A car pulled up on the side of the entrance of the hospital. I saw Carter get out of the car.
"Hey, this is for you." He handed me a skate board, a pink skate board. At the back there were rhinestones covering the back that were muti-coloured and it read "bald is beautiful" and also had my name under it. I don't really know how to skate board, but this board makes me want to learn.
"Wow this is awesome, but you didn't have to." I told him happily and thankfully with a huge smile on my face.
"Just wanted you to know I am really sorry, that was really rude and mean." He told me. "Well, I am gonna go!"
"You don't have to," I told him. "you can hang out here if you want to."
"Nah, my dad is waiting, he is the one who helped me make the skate board, he owns his own shop. It's pretty cool."
"Wow, well have a good day," I said turning to leave.
"Wait!" He said coming towards me. "Want to exchange numbers just in case... like, uh, you, never, um know?" Carter said awkwardly.
"Umm sure." I said giving him my phone while he gave me his. I put my number into his phone and took a funny selfie for my ID picture.
"Thanks!" He said turning to leave.
"Haha, Kay bye." He left the hospital with a smile.
I skated in the lobby area where guest and family arrive for about an hour. I looked at my Skate board. Who knew a skate board could be so blinged out? This was the best skateboard there could ever be, but why did he want my phone number? Maybe he likes me? Wait! I do not need a boyfriend and quiet frankly, I don't really want one. I have too much to do, plus I am battling for my life here!
I took the elevator to my floor. It was a quiet peaceful ride, all by myself but I really liked it. I got off the elevator and skated to my room. I am not really sure if I am allowed to do that, but I was having a really good day, so I didn't worry. Once I reach my room I saw my mom on her iPad and nurse Sheri standing by my bed. Since there is not that much to do at hospitals, my mom and I, are usually watching tv or playing on electronics.
"Hey girly!" My mommy said to me.
"Hey, Sheri why are you here? But not in a bad way just wondering!" I said reassuring.
"Oh! I am giving you an IV. Sorry honey I know you don't like them but it's the doctors orders."
"Ok." I said sadly.
"Do you want to get pyjamas on, since you will want to be in bed all day?" I nodded my head. I hate chemo. I got my pjs on and went to sit in my bed. She stuck the needle in my arms. I let out a little bit of tears because they really do hurt.
I stayed in bed for the rest of the day. It's funny how cancer can turn a good day to a bad day.
