That following morning was a blur. I was really tired and slept in really late. Maeve left sometime around 10:30am, I was half sleeping so I could kind of hear her whisper that she was leaving. I usually sleep in until around 10:30, but you never really know. Cancer makes you tired really easily because your body is "weak".
I went to the bathroom and had a long shower. I had already told my mom everything and she understood my feeling at the time. As the water hit my body I let all the negative things that happened yesterday leave my body. I chose to forget and forgive. I was being the bigger person in the smaller body.
After my shower I started to get ready, after I had my bra and underwear on, I pulled a colourful peacock shirt over my body. I wore dark blue coloured skinny jeans. I had sparkly sliver uggs. I put large hoop earrings in my ears. I put sliver eyeshadow on. Peachy perfect blush, I penciled my eyebrows, put my mascara on and finished with a hot pink barbie lip stick. And I must say I looked great.
I left the bathroom and made my bed. My mom was on Facebook checking all the new statues.
"You look fab gurl!" My mom complimented me. The funny thing about my mom is that she wears the same stuff as me she is 31. She had me when she was 18.
"You look fab to!" My mom was skinny and tall. She wore light wash skinny jeans. An off the shoulder white top. Black feather earring and had straight hair. She looked like a super model. How was she still single?
"What are you in the mood for? Breakfast or lunch?" My mom asked me.
"Neither," I answered.
"Well, what do you want to eat?"
"Nothing."
"You have to eat, you didn't eat anything last night. You slept through breakfast so now you have to eat some thing." She ordered me. She picked up the hospital room and called the kitchen, kind of like room service.
"Can I please have two stacks of chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate sauce and extra whip cream? Ok, thank you!" She hung up the phone and I glared at her. I always hated it when she forced me to eat but I know that she needed to.
I turned on the tv and watched SAY YES TO THE DRESS. A kitchen lady knocked on the door and then entered the room holding two plates of giant stacks of chocolate chip pancakes.
"Here you girls go," The kitchen lady said.
"Thank you very much." My mom said happily.
"Thank you." I said very shyly.
"Have a nice day!" She said as she left the room.
I looked at the stacks of pancakes and then glared at my mom.
"Eat!" My mom demanded she sounded scary, but I knew it was for the best. I took a bite and swallowed. I forced the food down my throat. It made me sick. I ran to the bathroom and started throwing up. My mom followed. I missed the toilet and there was vomit on the floor of the bathroom. I thought it was the pancake that made me throw up. It was my nausea. Since I have cancer I get really bad nausea. There was vomit on my clothes and on my face.
"I will get a nurse!" My mom ran out of the bathroom and came back with a nurse who checked my temperature.
"Ok honey. Have a bath. I don't suggest you leave the hospital, just stay in bed today and eat light food and drink lots of liquids." The nurse told me. I did as she said and had a hot bath. After some cleaning people cleaned the bathroom. I put on some clean pjs. And laid in bed watched tv and drink ice tea out of a can.
Just then my phone rang. It said James. What did he want? I answered the phone?
"Hello?" I answered the phone.
"Hi, it's Carter. I just wanted to apologize for what happened yesterday."
"It's fine."
"No really I am sorry! Could I do anything to make it up to you?"
"I forgive you, but you don't need to do anything."
"Well too bad I am going to do something wether you like it or not. You're at the children's hospital right?"
"Right....." With that he hung up. And I was left dazed.
