A week later

Rehearsal Dinner

Being here with everyone was kind of awkward to me. You have those who know all about my situation, well, Sydni, those that know a little, and then there's those who know nothing. The people that know nothing, think everything is all happiness and rainbows and whatever. I had to pretend that Jacob and I were on speaking terms and I had to tolerate Chres for the day. The entire wedding party, aside from MB, Sydni, and Abilene, were completely oblivious to the fact that Jacob and I were not together.

Jacobs groomsmen were Chres, oh so reluctantly, Ray Ray, 3 of his cousins, and Myles. Craig was his best man. My bridesmaids were Abilene, Jessica Strother, Shanina Shaik, Chanel Iman, Isabell and Jessabell, because those two look way older than they are. Of course Sydni was my maid of honor. While everyone was talking I grabbed Sydni by the arm and guided her to the bathroom. I locked the door as she asked what I was doing.

"So, I haven't been honest lately." I started.

"What you mean?"

"5 days ago Jaden and I, you know, made love." I continued.

"Yes, you told me this. You even elaborated the made love part."

"Yea, but uh, I didn't tell you the condom broke."

"It what??" She spat.

"Broke?"

"Well I heard that but just, when? How?"

"When doesn't technically matter but that's the thing, I don't know. I took a morning after pill the next day though but I'm feeling nauseous."

"That's the side effects of the pill Kay. But oh my god. That's just, man I don't even know. How could y'all be so damn careless? You were already in a tough enough position yet you go and make it worse? I know it wasn't purposeful but damn if it's not stupid." She said.

"Yo, you think I don't know how bad that was? Damn. I told so you could give me advice and tell me everything is gonna be fucking okay. Not so you can chastise me and tell me how careless and stupid I am because that I already know ok? Damn Sydni. You know I fucking hate when you do that shit but thank you Mrs. Captain Fucking Obvious!" I said, just venting and going off. She did just blow me like hell but I think this rant is because I have anger pent up within myself for being stupid but just needed a punching bag. So before I could say anything that might further jeopardize our closeness I hugged her and cried. She hugged me back and apologized as did I. She told my mom that I wasn't feeling well so we left. On the way back to her and Craigs apartment we stopped at Food Lion and bought snacks galore.

I cracked open my jar of birthday cake Ice cream as we talked and laughed like old times. I promised myself I would spend alot more time with her too because lately I've been drifting.

I woke up when I heard voices around me. Syd and I must have laughed ourselves to sleep. 'I just hope I remembered to put my Ice cream in the freezer.'

I didn't move or open my eyes so I could listen in. "Dang, Kay'Lani is just in my spot all up on my girl and what not." I heard Craig say while laughing. I smelt some bacon too and had to resist getting up.

"I got her," A voice said. Was that Chres? What he mean he got me?

Then I felt someone pick me up and put me down on the couch.
