I had visited America right after she got out of surgery, I was now walking around the hospital looking for Lucy. She was so sweet, very kind and I think I love her. I just don't know what I would do if I lost both Lucy and America in the same day. I was still looking when Magda and May came running towards me. May gave me a giant hug. "Have you seen America?" Magda asked me well looking around. I nodded. "I'll show you where she is."
I opened the door to America's room and saw Maxon sitting on the chair next to her bed. He looked at us and stood up when he saw Magda and May. "I'm so sorry. We are doing our best to bring her back." Magda talked with Maxon well May ran up to her sister. She grabbed her hand and started rubbing her knuckles. "Ames, you need to come back to us. You brought the family together so many times, you being gone might rip us apart even more than we are right now." I looked at May. Her eyes were pooling with tears but I could see her fighting to hold them back. I walked up behind her, resting my hand on her shoulder. "It's okay. She will get through this." She looked up at me and nodded before returning her stare to America.
Maxon left soon after talking to Magda promising he would be back shortly. Now that Maxon was gone Magda and May let their tears fall. I tried to help them but nothing I could say or do would help America at the moment. I sat back in the chair drifting off realizing how helpless I was in this situation.
