*A.N. I couldn't really think if a good quote for this chapter so I'm just going to share this one. "The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had." -Unknown

Chapter 3

I blacked out for who knows how long. I knew I shouldn't have trusted her. But I did and that was so naive of me.

When I was finally conscience I felt a headache. It felt like the whole world rested upon my shoulders. Which, in a way, it kind of did. "How long was I out?"

"Long enough for the Cloud to find you." Jessica said, and rolled her eyes at me.

"What." I started freaking out and quickly stood up,making me dizzier than I'd like to be.

"Don't worry honey. When you were out I went to talk to them."

"Wait what?" What does she mean she talked to them. I thought she was on our side. "I knew I shouldn't have trusted you."

"Oh Katy."

"My name is not Katy. It's Rehyn." I said through gritted teeth

"Fine Rehyn, I'm on your side. Trust me. I didn't completely finish my story."

"Ok well finish it." I said, rudely.

"Alright, so when I escaped. I was caught. They were going to kill me but I made a bargain. I said that I'm young enough, so if I run into Katy or Colton, they will trust me, so I'll spy for you." I wanted to pounce on her. Kennan sensed it too and before I leaped he grabbed me and wrapped his arms around me, so fast he knocked the wind out of me.

"KENNAN! Let me go." I said struggling to get out of his grasp. I slapped his arm like I was tapping out of a wrestling match. "Jessica, you are a jerk. You know that right. You probably have the leader after us right now."

"Oh Rehyn, so naïve. Trust me when I say I'm on your side. If I wasn't, you would've been dead five years ago." Kennan set me down. Sucker. I balled my hand into a fist and punched her face. Hard.

"Oh Jessica, so naïve." I spat. "I hate that word" I turned around to face Kennan, and he slapped me. Hard. I'm pretty sure it left a mark

"REHYN! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!"

"Obviously-"

"Obviously you weren't thinking. This girl could help us!"

"No,you like her. That's why your mad at me. You think she's hot. Admit it if she was ugly-"

"Hey." Jessica said interrupting me.

"Not saying you are honey. But if she was you would totally not trust her."

"No,Rehyn." He said in a stern father voice. So I guess my predicament was wrong. He walked over to Jessica and helped her up.

"Rehyn, nice punch. That'll come in handy some day." Jessica added.

"Thanks." I said questionably.

After we cooled down a little bit, which didn't take long considering its always cold, Jessica led the way to the remains of my house, it was only a few minutes away. It was a silent walk, we all kept to ourselves. I think it is best this way, so I don't full on punch Jessica, again. "Alright Rehyn, what is it you are looking for."

"A tunnel."

"Leading where exactly?"

"I don't know, I just feel it might lead somewhere."
