*Recap*
"Ah so the great copy cat ninja has a soft spot after all. " The hokage chuckled. Kakashi's face lit up red from embarrassment.
"Oh course you can, if she wishes for you to adopt her." The hokage stated while looking over at me. I nodded my head, and he smiled.
"Then it's settled, Kakashi will be the father of Mizuki." The hokage said happily.
"Uh actually there's something I want to show you first." I say quietly stepping out from behind Kakashi.
*End Recap*
I nervously glace around shifting from one foot to the other. Now that I have their attention I'm not so sure I want to do this. I look over at Kakashi with fear eating away at my insides. What if he doesn't want me anymore? Will he treat me as mother did, or will he be completely disgusted with me. He smiles down at me, and gently pats my head. I whimper. I'll really miss that if he ends up hating me. What will I do if that happens, and will they kill me? That really scary man left earlier. What if he went to go get torturing devises or something? I shiver at the thought. He does look like the kind of person who likes torturing people. The hokages kind but gruff voice brings me out of my depressing thoughts. My gaze slowly meets his. I feel my tears welling up, but keep them at bay. I need to stay strong if things don't go right I don't think ill be able to make it.
"What is it that you wanted to show us, Mizuki?" He asks curiously laying his head on his folded hands. A small smile was playing at the edge of his lips. Will he still smile at me like that when he sees my powers, or will he turn on me like all the others? I look down at the old wooden floor. I guess this is it. Its now or never. I take a slow deep breath concentrating on the power I knew I had deep inside me. I can feel it slowly moving through my body as it finds its destination, my eyes. This is nothing new to me considering I've practised a lot with my abilities over the years. It was really all I could do when I was locked in my room hiding from mother. I had figured why not everyone already looked at me like I was monster anyways. So I practised when I became bored.
Sighing I look up, and they gasp. I expected this considering my eyes changed drastically. They change from a blue, or I guess red now to all black except for a circular gray spiked gear like thing in the center.
I ignore them, and concentrate on making the papers on the hokages desk move. They stare transfixed as the papers start to mold into two identifiable shapes. They take the shape of two humans. The two figures bow to each other, and lock hands. They then start dancing to their own rhythm. Music only that could be heard by them swaying here and there in a beautiful intricate dance that only they understood. They seemed to be telling a story that only few could relate to. A painful story of a dreaded past. Yet there was still a unique beauty in their movements. Movements that could only be described as meaningful.
I could feel my energy depleting as the figures continued to dance. No one had moved an inch since I had moved the papers. That is the very reason why I can feel the dread creeping up on me slowly making my insides turn. Giving me a nauseous feeling. Why hadn't they said anything? I slowly brought the dance to a stop causing my insides to turn even more. What will they do to me now? Will they kill me, or keep me as a lab rat? Mom had always used that as a threat on me. I knew she would never do that to me though, because deep deep down I was still her baby. Her little Mizu-chan that she used to love so much. But these people didn't have any sentiments keeping them from putting me through those tortures. I involuntarily shivered. I really hope that wont happen.
I once again bring my attention back to the two once dancing figures. I make them turn to the hokage, and bow before once again becoming ordinary pieces of paper. They then drift over to the hokages desk, and returned to where they were before slightly a little more crumpled than they had been previously. I then close my eyes, and deactivate them.
