*Recap*
“Everyone passes. Squad seven starts its first mission tomorrow.” Dad says doing a lame thumbs up. Man he’s been hanging around guy way too much. Everyone starts cheering. Well except Sasuke of course, because he’s a lame duck butt. “Let’s go home.” Dad says lamely walking off into the sunset. Yep he’s definitely been hanging around guy too much. I sweat drop when I realize they left me, and Naruto tied up. “Guys you forgot to untie us.” Naruto yells. Dad just tosses back two shurikan successfully cutting us down like a boss. Naruto lands on his face, and I land in a crouched position. I laugh a little, but still felt depressed. So it wasn’t full hearted. He scrambles up, and rushes after them. I follow behind slowly thinking over what had happened today.
*End Recap*
I slowly walk home alone mulling over what had happened earlier today. The sun was slowly setting, and a slight breeze lightly blew my hair around. I stared down at the ground in thought as I continued to walk forward.
Everyone had watched with worry in their eyes as I left to go home. I couldn’t help but feel guilt as Sakura and Naruto talked animatedly as we left the training field completely oblivious to what could have happened to them earlier. Sasuke just walked behind them as a silent shadow. He stayed quiet even through Naruto’s accusations of him being better than Sasuke. It seemed that I wasn’t the only one with a lot on my mind. He was probably pondering over what he had witnessed being the only one who actually seen part of what happens when I lose control. He walked with his hands in his pocket, and his gaze firmly planted on the ground. I couldn’t help at how my mind kept drifting towards one thought; I’m a monster. This only brought my mood down more as I quietly walked beside him maybe even more silent.
Naruto had noticed my silence, and glanced back at me with a questioning look. The second he looked back at me his faced had scrunched up in worry. He tried cheering me up the best way he knew how. Placing a somewhat forced grin on his face as worry showed clearly in his eyes he slowed his steps to match mine. He asked if I wanted to go to Ichiraku’s with him, but I quickly objected making up a lame excuse and excusing myself. He frowned slightly before nodding.
He watched with a forlorn look as walked off taking a deserted path towards home just wanting to be alone. It was actually quite nice with nature surrounding me, and the wind blowing through the trees causing them to sway gently in the breeze. The soft rustling it created brought a small smile to my face as I continued to make my way down the deserted path. It had a real tranquil feeling to it though I couldn’t quite shake off the feeling that I was being watched. Is someone following me?
I try to shrug off the feeling as I continue to slowly make my way home. What dad had said to me earlier really got to me. How could I let Mitsuki’s chakra get to me? The look of disappointment in his eye still haunts me. I’m not a fool I already know I messed up big time today. I don’t even want to think about what I could have done to everyone if dad hadn’t stopped me. A cold shiver goes down my spine at the thought of it. I need to get stronger before I end up accidently hurting someone.
An unnatural rustle to my left causes me to momentarily freeze, before I continued walking as if nothing had happened. Now I know it’s not just my imagination. There’s definitely someone following me. I quickly reach my senses out only to find nothing. Whoever’s there can hide their presence really well. I discreetly reach into the pocket in my skirt, and grip onto the kunai knife I had left in there from the survival test.
I put my guard up before stopping, and turning to the left towards the trees. I glared before speaking up letting my voice drop low with warning. “Come out, I know your there.” I wait a few seconds tensed up for the worst. The last person I would expect steps out of the shadows of the trees with a smirk on his face and his hands in his pockets. I growl out menacingly, “What are you doing here?” He looks me up and down before walking closer causing me to step back out of caution.
