A Mystery quest !

Broke out

"What the hell are you saying?" Liza was forced to ask this question after the sudden and unexpected turns of events. Jones was firm and said,"I am the one you were looking for. I killed Lewis." Liza was still left astonished.

She asked,"Why did you decide to tell this now?" Jones took his time and replied,"Well, I was pretty tired of escaping everything. I felt guilty from inside and since I saw how confused and crazy this case had made you, I decided to confess and end all your troubles."

Liza was startled. She said,"Well, I don't know what to say. This case had suddenly started taking some unexpected turns. After Ben was arrested, Nestlé proved me that Ben is not the killer. I decided to ask John about his false reports that he showed me. But, then I see him dead in my own lab. Now, here you are telling me that you are the killer. What to say? I am.."

Jones said,"I can understand. You are expected to get shocked. But, this is the truth. I am confessing that I, Jones Wood killed Lewis Walten."

Liza asked with amazement,"Why did you kill that man?" Jones waited for some moments and then replied,"He had everything. Richness, charm, publicity, well built physique, etc. He stole my girlfriend from me. Scarlett was the one beautiful thing left in my life. He had also stolen Sandra from me in college. His behaviour was just irritating and annoying. All these reasons forced me to kill that son of a bitch!"

Liza was about to say something when her cell phone rang. She picked up her phone and answered the call. It was from Nestlé. Liza said,"Hello, Nestlé. The results came?" Nestlé replied,"Yeah. They are quite shocking. Please hurry up and come to my lab." Liza said yes in agreement. The call was cut off.

Liza said,"Look, Jones. You have to wait here. I have some work. My another employee will be there with you here. Please stay here with him until I come back. You have to answer so many of my queries." Jones nodded and said,"I will be here. I wanna get caught now and go behind the bars." Liza smiled and called her employee. The man came and Liza asked him to wait in there with Jones. The man agreed. Liza headed towards Nestlé's lab.

Driving at night wasn't Liza's piece of cake. She had many problems while driving at night. Her eyesight was weaker than normal woman at her age. Normally, Ben used to drive the car and Liza used to sing along the beats of the music. Definitely, Liza was missing all that. She was feeling guilty from inside.

Liza reached Nestlé's lab. She asked,"What are the results?" Nestlé brought one file which was kept on her desk. She said,"I had ordered Stuart to send me one copy of the file, where results of the cctv cameras will be written. Here it is." Liza asked,"So, what's the conclusion?"

Nestlé said,"It's shocking, but there is no conclusion. Yeah! There are no results." Liza was confused to the core now. She asked,"What are you saying?" Nestlé replied,"Stuart and his staff analysed the footage and surprisingly the cameras were switched off around the time when John was killed. After the killer went, the cameras were switched on again." Liza was stunned. She asked,"How on earth is that possible?"

Nestlé replied,"The killer must have asked John to turn off the cameras. John did that and the killer came. He killed John and then turned on the cameras. After turning them on, he went without coming in front of the cameras. That's the results." Liza was left amazed. She said,"What an absolute and flawless work. Amazing. The killer is just.." Liza was about to continue, when something hit her mind. She looked at Nestlé's for a while.

Then, she said,"Well, we know who is the killer then." Nestlé saw Liza in amazement. She asked,"What are you saying?" Liza said,"You won't believe. Jones just came upto my office room and confessed that he killed Lewis." Nestlé opened her mouth in shock. Liza said,"I was shocked too. But, he is saying that he killed Lewis. He is tired of escaping and now he feels guilty of killing Lewis. So that's the reason he confessed." Nestlé went in a process of deep thinking.

After some moments, the French blonde said,"I don't think so. If he wanted to confess, he wouldn't have turned off the cameras. He would have killed John in front of them. This ain't true." Liza said,"But, remember, the coat. It was found in his room."

Nestlé replied,"But, still. I am getting these vibes that Jones isn't the killer. This is probably the killer's move to shut this case. Yeah, this is absolutely the killer's move." Liza asked,"But how can you assure that?" Nestlé said,"I don't know. You know what? We will do one thing. Keep Jones in your office jail for today. We will go and remove the truth from him tommorow morning." Liza agreed.

Nestlé continued,"We will do anything to remove the truth out of him. No killer will just come and confess everything this easily. We will go." Liza said,"Yeah we will."

Accordingly, Jones was kept in the office jail that night. Liza decided to go with Nestlé next morning to Jones and remove the truth from him. But, something unexpected was about to take place. Something that will ensure the killer's escape.

Liza turned off the lights and went to bed. She said to herself,"Ben is in the jail. But, Jones said he is the killer. I don't know what is happening. This case is turning into a maze. Coming out of this maze is getting worser day by day. I don't know where this case is heading."

Liza was thinking till a long time until sleep overtook her senses.

In no time after she slept, someone broke into her house silently. Yeah! Someone had entered Liza's house in late night. Liza was fast asleep. The man had license of doing everything.

He entered Liza's room and did his work flawlessly. Liza screamed but to no avail.
