"Mom!!!!!" Liza screamed at the top of her voice as she saw her lovely mother falling on the ground after being shot by bullet.

"No, no.." Liza went screaming towards her mother. Scarlett had shot Josephine a bullet. The results were now obvious.

"Mom, keep your eyes open. Plz. Please for god's sake." Liza told to Josephine as she bent down towards her. Ben was trying hard to hold his tears. Josephine was in tremendous pain but she didn't let out that pain in form of screams and groans.

In fact she started saying something,"Liza, I...I had prom..promised th..that I wi..will kill the ki..killer. Aaaaaa!!! But no I can't...soo..ensure me t...tht u wil..kill him." Josephine was now groaning in pain. Tears started rolling down Liza's cheeks. The speed kept increasing.

Liza kept her hands in Josephine's hands and told,"Mom, he would die from my hands. I promise. But you don't leave me here alone plz. Plz mom. I can't imagine my life without you." As soon as these words escaped Liza's mouth, Josephine smiled and then immediately stopped breathing. Everything went damn silent.

"Mom, mom, open your eyes. Open it, can't u understand..open ur fucking eyes. Mom...." Liza screamed at the top of her voice when she realized what had happened.

Tears caught speed and words ran out of Liza's mind. The scene in front of her was enough to shake her internally.

Now, Ben also couldn't control his tears. For him, Josephine was like his second mother.

"Well, how did you think that you will escape so easily." Scarlett said with a huge grin on her face. Ben's eyes grew smoking hot in anger. "Why the fuck?" He asked with all his anger. Liza just kept crying while keeping her head on Josephine's abdomen.

Steve kept coughing and now the intensity increased more. Scarlett got a frown on her face and said,"Smart of you Ben. You killed Elisha up and now, Steve is dying because of you. But, please make a note of this. I am not a garbage bag that you will dump me anywhere you want. Now, lemme kill you and finish everything."

Scarlett said as she aimed the gun at Ben's body. Ben's eyes grew bigger in size as he realized what was gonna happen. Liza looked up and tears took the most speed now. They were flowing in lightning speed now. Scarlett's smile further increased when she loaded the gun.

"Byee Ben. Thanks for investigating this case and putting your nose in it." Scarlett said as she decided to pull the starter.

Boooooom.

A bullet peirced through Scarlett's body as she groaned in pain and fell down. Ben's and Liza's eyes grew wider in shock as they turned towards the door to see 6 cops standing around. Did you realized what happened?

"The Cctv cameras are still working. We saw all this shit and came running here." One of the cops said. Scarlett groaned louder in pain.

Liza and Ben had their biggest smiles on their faces. Tears rolled down their cheeks. But this time there was a difference. It was the tears of happiness.

Steve's intense coughing brought Liza back to the world. She remembered Josephine's promise. She stood up and immediately went to the kitchen. The big knife was kept on the entrance of the kitchen only. With the giant knife in her hands, Liza went towards Steve.

The cops realized what Liza was doing so they took some steps towards Liza but Ben immediately backed them off.

Liza headed towards Steve with a face of half anger and half sad. Liza said while approaching Steve,"This is the same knife that started this case. Well, now it will be the same one to end this case. You killed Lewis and thought that you would escape but, the nature has fixed rules. Whoever does wrong pays for it. Your crime increased. You killed John so that he couldn't open his mouth. You killed Jones coz he was the source of my answer. You raped me like I was a doll." Liza finally came in front of Steve.
