Our trip was planned for a week from now on a Thursday, we would be leaving Disney World by that Sunday. Mom said that the plane ride from here, in California, to Florida would take a long time. Since the night that we found out that our parents would be getting married Jasper had been more open to me. He still walked around the house in the same manner, lifeless, emotionless, but if I stared at him long enough or said something funny, he would give me a small smile. It felt good to see him smile at me.

Thursday came around and our bags were packed. We got first class tickets, it had big spaces and comfy chairs. I was so excited to be on a plane for my very first time. I ran onto the plane and looked for a seat. "Come on over here," Jasper said pointing to two empty seats next to the window. Jasper walked over to the seats and gestured to me to get in the seat. I scooted in, the arms of the chairs were adjustable as well as the reclining of the seat. I looked out the window of the plane, Jasper sat in the seat right next to me and our parents sat in front of us. Outside the window I could see other planes taking off, people driving in those tiny cars that looked almost like a tractor, with trailers full of luggage following close behind.

Within a few minutes the plane jolted and started to move. The road under the plane was moving so fast it was hard to identify anything, everything was just blurry smudges on the earth's canvas. Before I knew it the plane was in the air and everything was fading away into tiny specks until we were in the clouds. "Wow," I said looking out the window at the puffy marshmallows that engulfed the plane.

A boring hour passed by in silence, there was a moving playing on the screen in front of me but I didn't understand what the point of it was. Something about monkeys taking over the world, Jasper looked interested in it though. He looked at it so intently not taking his eyes off the screen. My eyelids started to feel very heavy, like someone was pushing them closed. I felt my eyelids close shut and I fell to the side, my head rested on Jasper's lap. His warmth all around me. I felt his hand on my head, not very big but bigger than mine. His fingers ran threw my hair as if they belonged there. I don't know why my chest felt so tight. Slowly I drifted further and further into sleep.

"Hey guys, wake up. We're here." My eyes popped open to see my mom crouched in front of me with a big smile on her face. I sat up off of Jasper's lap. It looked like he had been sleeping too. He stretched his arms out above his head, then rubbed his eyes. I looked out the window of the plane, it didn't look that much different than when we left. There were even some palm trees.

"Are sure?" I questioned doubtingly.

"Yes, come on," my mother stuck out her hand and hesitantly I took it. She lead me out of the plane to where Henry was, outside the airport waiting for us beside a limousine. It may have not looked all that different but it certainly felt different. It was so humid it felt like the air was heavy and I was sweating so much easier. Even for it being september it was still blazing hot. I stopped to look around at my surroundings, it even smelt different.

"Come on Rose," Jasper said grabbing my arm and pulling me to the car. The limo brought us to the hotel. It was the fanciest hotel I had ever seen. The room was bigger than my apartment. It itself was like a big apartment. I ran all around looking at every nook and cranny of the place.

"Well, why don't you kids get some rest, your room is right over there. Big day tomorrow." My mother gave me a hug and kissed me on the top of the head. Jasper and I are sharing a room? I ran to the room my mom had pointed at. There were two twin sized beds on opposite sides of the room from each other. I took the one on the left, jumping on it to claim my place. The bedding was even more comfortable than I thought. I felt like just touching it was making me tired. Jasper walked in and layed on the bed across from me. Just then there was the sound of thunder, it shook the room and the lights flickered. I jumped and curled in the blanket. There was another crack in the sky, I remember the clouds were dark when we landed but I hoped it wouldn't rain. I closed my eyes tightly. I hated the thunder, the unpredictable noise scared me. Each time the sky cracked with the roar of thunder I would curl tighter in my bed until I was as tight as I could be. I could hear the rain tapping on the glass window.
