chp22:The note!

Kathy's *POV*

The next morning i got up at noon as my head spinned around like a roller coaster. I would have teared my head apart if El had not come to my rescue.

"Have this!" she said giving me some asprins and lemonade.

"Quite a hangover!" she said grinning at me.

"Argh...please can i go back to sleep and never get up!" i said closing my eyes. Yesterday's memories were blur but enough for me to curse myself. You know a glass of wine can be like a poison to an ex-alcoholic! But then..when i took the firsr one i never intented to get drunk.

"Oh Fuck El..i am back to square one!" i said all frustated and annoyed by myself.

"Oh dear!'' she said cupping my face.

"You are going nowhere to the past and its okay..its been almost six months that you touched a drink!" she said drawing circles on my back as the tears flowed.

"It's not that you had some wild good sex and are not telling me!" El chuckled but that atleast made my tears to a hault.

"C'mon now you are getting all sex crazed...lou is getting you on line!" i teased her.

"Well...well..lemme tell you..he's great!'' she winked.

"And i am sure Harry will be great too!" she said tickling me.

"Arghh..El..No! what are you telling..I and Harry are just friends and like a very good friend he cared enough to drop me home safely..."

"When you asked him to hit on you!" she completed.

"I...whaaawt?" i asked asked now getting back to my senses.

"Oh..ya i was standing here at your doorstep when you asked him to.."

"To what El?" i asked loosing my patience.

"To make out with you!" she said curving her lips wide.

"No..no..that cant be true!"i said scratching my head as if trying to scratch back my night's memory.

"Kathy...chill..sorry..i was just kidding!"she said finally.

"Hahaha..not so funny!"i snapped and gulped the lemonade.

"But sure you did ask him to kiss you!"she said as i waited for her to laugh again but she didnt.

"enough jokes for a day!"i said getting out of my bed.

"Well did i laugh this time..so not a joke!"El said firmly which made me turn to my bed again.

"And did he?"

"Well..well he didnt take advantage of a old drunk friend!"she said chuckling and that made my stomach flip.

Should i be happy..sad..or angry!

Harry played the good boy here but then does that mean he's not intrested in kissing me! Phewww! what am i thinking..i surely dont want that to happen or do I?

"El..wherz you?" i heard lou calling for her.

"Coming..just a minute!"she screamed back.

I was still deep engrossed in my thoughts when El came to me and squeezed my hand

"Why dont you give him a chance..why dont you give yourself a second chance!"she whispered before leaving.

A chance...hell! I dont believe in second chances and i know if even i think of it..i would simply end up hurting him and myself. Its like a Bad Omen! I am the bad omen..whoever loves me..cares for me..and when i love give them my heart..they go away! First Mamma..then Dad! Sometimes he dont even remember who i am! and then Mark!
