chp52:Bad Omen?

Kathy's *POV*

A week since New Year and all I've been doing is- Nothing!

Perrie is leaving tonight to join her girls & continue her tour. It's been a busy week for all. Perrie and Zayn's engagement announcement was made on Twitter  so the paps have been stalking like never before.

There was a call from management too, they were having a press conference today-Live! So it's going official before Perrie leaves the town and Lou's big announcement. I wanted to be with El but I couldn't. Paps annoy me too much.

"Kathy, aren't you coming?", Kiara walked into the kitchen filling her mouth with the hot cookies.She was wearing a black jeans and a lemon yellow shirt and the Vero Moda jacket!

"Ummm....I don't think it's a good idea and anyways I am going to the NGO today!"

"You can reschedule it for tomorrow, can't you?", her finger busy with the texting but her eyes on me.

"I promised them to meet today and the kids will be really disappointed if they don't get their gifts on time!", I beamed in victory as I saw Kiara analysing if I was just stalling or being sincere.

"Okay.", she said after a pause.

"Did you tell Harry?". Arghhh! I didn't want to lie nor had I pulled up my guts to spill the truth yet. New Year's Eve I was so determined to tell him the truth but after the whole proposal scenario It went out of focus and I was completely shaken and disoriented by both the relief and disappointment. So the ring was not for me. But yet the New Year's start left me more than startled, it made my body limp and weak when Harry took me in his arms and kissed the hell out of me.

It was really a surprise  even for me, how quickly my pulse went high and my brain cells explode with those butterflies in my belly twisting tight as his lips captured mine and it was like turning on another switch-my body felt alienated to myself.

My lips parted with ease as he took the control and took me into another world. I can still remember how hard my heart fluttered but it was soothed with his heart... his touch-his lips...

"Hello? Comeback to earth!", Kiara's fingers snapped me back to reality but my body still shivered thinking about the New year's kiss.

"No, I didn't-I couldn't!", I corrected.

How was I suppose to explain I was not in my senses to speak anything.

"So what now?"

"I will tell him!"-----'SOON', I added to myself.

"Take your time and trust your heart!", she kissed my cheek and left me alone with my dough and cream. I baked two more lots of walnut cookies and started with my sponge cake. Hopefully the kids will enjoy my new peanut choco-strawberry  cakes.Niall was very much confident about this recipe.

It was after almost two hours when the door bell rang and I stepped out of kitchen.

"Hello beautiful!", Harry welcomed himself and left me frozen at the door with a hard smashing kiss.

"What was that for?"

"Ah! You smell so....", he lifted his brow and sniffed my nape. His lips slightly touching flesh but enough to make me jump

"Back off boy...you'll get yourself dirty!", I pushed him  back and wiped my hands on the apron and tried not to gape as he stood there in worn out denims and black collar shirt. His hands tucked in his pockets and his eyes on me as if he was seeing me for the first time.

"Cut it off Harry!", I turned away trying to hide my flushed cheeks.

"What are you cooking ?"

"Nothing! I was baking. Trying Niall's new recipe!"
