Sam, Dean, Bobby and I were out on a case. It involved the leviathans since they were the big fish right now. One of them had nearly killed Sam...so I pulled my blade and stabbed him in the back. Sam looked at me in surprise as the leviathan collapsed on top of him.
Dean went to go check for a pulse and then he stared at me in shock. "He's dead, which I didn't think was possible without decapitation."
I looked at him and knew that he would soon figure out the truth. "There are a lot of things that you don't know Dean."
Dean and Sam looked at me like I had two heads. Sam pushed the dead leviathan away from him and then he stood up.
Sam looked down at the knife I still had in my hand. "Where'd you get a knife like that?"
I looked down at the knife in my hand. "You don't want to know."
Sam snorted. "Oh I think I do."
I shook my head. "You can keep asking Sam but I'm not going to tell you."
Sam, Dean, Bobby, and I rode back to Bobby's house. It was a very silent ride. I could feel the tension growing in the car. I was glad that I had prepared for this contingency.
When we walked into Bobby's house, I knew that a barrage of questions was going to start. So I went over to the TV, pulled a manila envelope out from behind it, and walked over to the couch where Sam and Dean were sitting. I opened the envelope and pulled out three black journals.
Sam, Dean, and Bobby watched me closely as I did this. Dean finally got tired of the silence. "What the hell are you Meara?"
I gave him an innocent look. "What are you talking about Dean?"
Dean snorted. "Don't you play innocent with me. Bobby has been looking for a way to gank those leviathans for months without success. Then he finds a way to kill them...and you just take a knife and stab one...and it dies."
I shrugged as Dean paused and looked at Sam. Sam continued for him and looked at me with sadness in his eyes. "In our experience, that doesn't usually go over too well."
I nodded at Sam as I handed one of the journals to each hunter. "I know Sam. I also know that you and Dean have a hard time trusting me. You only did because I'm Bobby's adopted daughter."
Dean looked down at the journal in his hand, then back up at me. "What is this?"
I looked Dean in the eye. "It will explain everything. It's kind of like a letter. You each have the same copy. I'll leave so you can discuss it amongst yourselves."
I grabbed my coat, and my leviathan killing knife, and left the house. As I walked out the door, I looked back one last time, knowing that I may never be welcome back again. They would want to kill me once they knew the truth.
