Sam, Bobby, and I all stood frozen, waiting to see how Dean would react. He broke and exploded.
He swung at me. I dodged his fist and pushed him forward. He landed on the floor with a thud. He got up and pulled a knife from the waistband of his jeans.
I sighed. "Put the knife away Dean."
Dean shook his head and smiled. "I don't think so princess."
Sam snorted and looked at Dean. "Queen actually."
Dean and I both looked at Sam for a moment. It was probably a mistake on my part since Dean chose that moment to attack me with the knife.
He was aiming for my chest. I quickly stepped out of the way, grabbed his arm and squeezed his hand until he dropped the knife. Then I flipped him over onto the couch. I pulled out the favorite of my two knifes and pressed it against his throat as he attempted to get up.
I shook my head. "Ah ah ah. Not so fast Dean. We wouldn't want you to get hurt now, would we?"
Dean smiled. "Oh I bet you'd just love to slice my throat."
I laughed. "I don't want to hurt you Dean. You left me no choice."
Dean snorted. "Oh yeah? Prove it."
I raised my eyebrows at him before I brought my knife away from his throat and stepped away. He looked at me in shock.
I kept a hold on my knife but I let it hang at my side, in a more relaxed position.
Dean sat up and looked up at Sam, who shrugged. After a few moments, Dean stood up.
Sam looked at me as Dean stood next to him. "Meara, what kind of knife is that?"
I looked down at the knife in my hand and pulled out my other blade with my free hand. "A different knife than this other one here."
Sam rolled his eyes. "I've never seen anything like it."
The knife in question had a long, slightly curved blade. The blade was coal black and was jagged on one edge. The grip was dark blue with a light blue handprint on it, mine, and it was studded with precious gems. It had been a wedding gift from my husband.
The other knife was shorter, more like a dagger.. The blade was silver with words etched in it and both sides were smooth...and very sharp. The grip was pure black and I was willing to be that it was different from any knife those boys had ever seen.
Bobby looked at both knives. "Meara, where did you get those knives?"
I held up the knife with black blade. "This was a wedding gift from my husband." I put it down and held up the other one. "This was a gift from Lucifer."
Sam, Dean, and Bobby looked at me in shock. Sam was the brave soul to sputter "Lucifer?"
I nodded. "Yes. He hasn't always been the bad guy you've thought him to be. He used to be very sweet...until he got kicked out of heaven."
Dean smirked and a mad glint came into his eyes. "See? I told you that we couldn't trust her."
Dean pulled a gun from the waistband of Sam's jeans. He aimed it at me and Sam scrambled to stop him. Sam ended up standing in front of me, effectively blocking me from Dean's view.
Dean glared at Sam but didn't put the gun down. "Dammit Sam! Get out of the way."
Sam shook his head. "No Dean. We need to hear her out. We owe her that much."
Dean's voice got lower as he growled, "We don't owe her anything."
Sam sighed. "Yes we do Dean. She saved my ass today."
I sighed now and stepped out from behind Sam. I was standing next to him now as I raised my arms until they were in line with my shoulders. "Go ahead and shoot Dean."
Sam gasped. "Don't Dean."
Dean pulled the trigger and I felt the bullet pierce my chest, and my heart, as Sam and Bobby stood by helplessly.
