I could not believe my eyes. I reached out and touched my husband's face gently. After all this time, I had not ever imagined that I would see him again. I gently touched his cheek just to make sure that he was real.
I smiled at him with tears in my eyes. "It has been far too long, Kieran.
Kieran nodded. "Yes it has, my love."
Dick Roman looked between us and sighed. "Sorry to interrupt the reunion but...I have work to do."
Kieran looked over at him and dropped his hand from my face. "It would be wise for you to show respect to those that rule over you."
Dick Roman laughed. "And what are you going to do? Send your lovely wife after me?"
I started towards him, getting ready to punch him but Kieran held me back. He pulled me towards him until my back was against his chest. Then he wrapped his arms around my waist, ensuring that I didn't get away from him. I would have used my powers...but those were one of my secret weapons against them.
I glared at Roman. "If you don't start showing some respect, I'll kill you myself."
Kieran inhaled sharply. "Now, now Meara, let's not get too hasty."
I shook my head. "I'm not being hasty. And I'm not bluffing. I will kill him."
Kieran shook his head. "You didn't even have the heart to kill a fly all those years ago."
I snorted. "A lot has happened since then."
Kieran let me go, realizing that I would not hurt Dick Roman today. He kept me by his side though and took my hand. "We'll be leaving now, Richard."
Dick Roman nodded his head. Then Kieran pulled me out of the office and to the elevator. He stood quietly gaping at me in the elevator and then pulled me outside the building when we got to the first floor.
Once we were outside, he let go of my hand and started pacing in front of me. I sat down on a nearby bench, watching him.
After a few minutes of pacing, Kieran finally stopped and turned to look at me. "What do you think you're doing? You can't just walk up to Richard Roman and threaten him."
I shrugged. "It wasn't a threat. It was a promise."
Kieran looked at me in disbelief. "What happened to you? You are not the woman I married."
I stood up and slowly walked up to him. "I was stuck here on Earth alone. Left to fend for myself."
Kieran closed his eyes as he winced. "I am sorry about that. I didn't mean for it to get so out of control."
I shook my head. "It's not your fault. I should have stayed by your side. To fight and die with you, as a Queen should."
Kieran shook his head. "No. I would not have let you stay."
I touched his arm and he opened his beautiful grey eyes to look at me. "I know."
Kieran nodded and then he placed a quick kiss on my forehead, his sign of affection. "Is there somewhere safe we can go? To plot against Richard?"
I smiled. "Yes there is."
I grabbed his hand and led him to the Impala. Sam, Dean, and Bobby were waiting there for me. When I walked up with Kieran, they all had surprised looks on their faces.
I opened the door to the backseat to see Bobby looking at me like I had two heads. Thankfully he didn't say anything right away and scooted over so Kieran and I could get in the car.
As I settled into the backseat, I looked at Kieran. "Kieran, that's Dean," I said, pointing to Dean, who was driving, of course, "That's Sam," I said, pointing to Sam, who was sitting in the passenger seat, "That's Bobby. He's kinda like my father," I said pointing at Bobby. "Bobby, Sam, Dean, this is Kieran."
Kieran muttered a "Hello, nice to meet you."
Bobby looked at Kieran suspiciously. "And how do you know Meara?"
Kieran looked shocked. "Well I am her husband."
Sam and Dean both turned around in their seats. Dean had to turn back around because he was driving. Sam looked at me like I was insane. "Meara, what happened in there?"
