Tell me what you'd do.

Tell what you'd do if you suddenly passed out.

Tell me what you'd do if you woke up in jail.

I know what I'd do. I'd scream, cry. This totally explains me as of right now.

"Why me!" I screamed. Cops passed by, ignoring my well being. I was behind bars with teary eyes.

In the cell ahead of mine, I saw a familiar face, of course belonging to Mike. My anger and sadness could not be put into words. I was depressed as of now. So I just flipped him off when he was looking in my direction.

"Eh, Mo! No need to get feisty-" He started. "Mike, you landed us in jail. You gave me drugs. Better yet, you let me have them! If that's not the worst I've done, I don't know what is. The worst I could've done to you is flipped you off, bastard." I spat across bars.

"Hey, hey. You know it wasn't my fault." He started, but before I could full out rage, I was being let out of my cell, and a guard told me he was gonna lead me to the front office, where my family was waiting. "I don't need you to come with me." I assured him, but he cuffed me, and stood behind me anyways. "I'm just doing my duty Miss." He didn't even look at me.

"Officer, I didn't mean it. This isn't me. It was my-" I stopped. I knew he wasn't listening. He didn't care. No one does.

Especially Mike. Yep. He just had to be the one person that landed me in jail.

Didn't help my father worked for the law enforcement. He was a judge for a town thirty minutes away. Lately, he'd been busy there, not visiting for long hours, coming when Kyle and I were sleeping.

So when I met his face, it wasn't an expression of empathy or sympathy, it was a look of sudden hatred. "Thanks, Nic." He nodded the chubby security guard off while he returned to facing me.

"Montana Josephine Hyland I am beyond extremely disappointed in you. I am too frustrated to even think right. You have committed a felony that goes to court." He glared at me before taking my hand and dragging me out of the prison.

"Dad, I'm sorry. I-I" I started. "You are not my daughter. You are a criminal excuse of a girl." He said, staring beyond the road. "Dad? What do you mean? It was one tiny mistake! You of all people should understand," I shook my head. "Oh yeah? One mistake that could've ended yours and other innocent people's lives. You not only stole, but you were high on an illegal drug that could've also ended your life." He was starting to raise his voice.

"Dad, I wasn't thinking, I was stressed." I inhaled quickly as the vein on his forehead got pulse-y and seeable. "I'm leaving." He said. "What? Dad, your really blowing this out of proportion!" I said. "This isn't about you, for once." He explained. "Then what is it about?" I asked, suddenly aware of the luggages in the back seat.

"Your mom can explain. Please exit my car." He unlocked the doors and sternly stared me in the eye. I sighed before my eyes became wet.

What was this all about. "Montana. Get out." He told me. "Don't have to tell me twice. You're not the Dad I remember." I clenched my teeth before leaving the vehicle and watching his car disappear into the cold, dark distance.

Nevertheless, when I entered my house, Mom was watching The Bachelorette and was bundled in a blanket, getting emotional over something.

"Mom?" I asked, and I swear she could've got whiplash the way she turned her head to face me. "What's up?" She asked. "Ugh, Dad left, and... I-" I stopped myself as she wiped her tears and extremely noticed this wasn't the time to tell her I was in jail.

"Bastard." I heard her whisper. "Did you know I was in prison?" I asked so fast, it took her a minute to realize what I just informed her. "Yeah. Don't do it ever again. Or else." She said, then smiled. "Okay... Then."

I thought she was gonna be more harsh, but I didn't have time to think of that.

"Mom, why is Dad leaving?" I said suddenly. All of a sudden, Mom was crying again, but this time she was handing me a paper in an envelope.

It looked like the letters I'd seen previously.

Only now I knew what was pinged on the top.
