Without taking a second glance at the old man who couldn't keep his mouth shut, I arrived in my room to shut the door.

Did I mention the cheap door broke from the doorframe?

And it made an immense shake on the house?

Well, I had no door to shut, so of course loud mouth old man found a way in through the crevices into my room.

"What." I said in a more monotonous statement than a question. "Look, I wanted to apologize. I got a little tipsy, and when I shouted, it wasn't right." He explained.

I wanted to forgive him. Trust me, I really did.

But, my anger wasn't ready to be calmed yet.

"What do you mean, you apologize? My dad didn't keep shotguns in his pockets! My dad didn't overreact because I walked away! My dad didn't just walk into my life. He deserved his place. You? You should be apologizing for ever laying a hand on my mother and asking for engagement. You know, I thought this was a new start, that I'd be happy. But I have way more problems then you could in nine lifetimes. I try so, so hard to fix it! But no, nothing ever goes my way. And just because you put your dirty ring on my Mom, doesn't mean you can lay a finger on me." I let out the breath I had let out breathing that whole time.

"I am your father, and you will listen-" He started. "How many times do I have to tell you Jack? I. Hate. You. Oh wait, I haven't told you that yet? Well, this isn't some teenage fling where I forgive you, Jack. This is real life. And I mean it in the utterly most important way I can: I. HATE. YOU."

"That is no way to talk to me!" He shouted, making me cringe a little. "You're in no right to be even talking to me right now so I can talk you however I want." I spat.

"I deserve respect in my house! You got that!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, making my ears ring. "Sure ya do. Not from me because just because your my 'dad', doesn't mean you are anything to me. Hear that? A speck of dust floating in the air that I can smash! whenever I want to. Got that, old man?" I turned away from him as he spat his screams and I stared out of my window.

Life wasn't gonna get better.

Never.
