You may have noticed, but I'm dedicating these two chapter to Thanksgiving and I wish you have a happy one! 😂😜😁
*******"Oh, Mo! Be reasonable." Mom reasoned as I complained. "This isn't a joke! I mean, how easy did you get over Dad? Were you dating him while you were with Da-" I stopped myself.
"I thought out of you and Kyle you'd be happy for me! Matt isn't your father anymore, Jack is." Mom replied. "Never would I ever call that bastard my Dad." I spat. "He's not a bastard, he's my savior. He saved me from falling in the hole Matt dug. Matt broke me. And Jack had the courtesy to build me back up again." That was it.
Not only was I done with Mom, but we had arrived in an expensive looking three story house.
When I walked up the driveway, I wasn't greeted with Kyle, or my father, the one I knew wasn't gonna show, but I had hope. No one greeted me. I'd like to say that to the blonde haired blue eyed man that was smiling.
He was invisible to me.
But I stopped to say something to him.
"Jack, right? Yeah, leave me alone and never talk to me." I said before winding past him.
I plugged ear plugs to block out my mom saying I was rude.
When I went inside, I was greeted by a boy that looked eight. He had two Nerf guns in his hand, and he looked the same thing like my mother's fiancé. "Who are you?" His expression was filled with half disgust and half confusion.
"What are you?" I shoved past him and was automatically hit with the scent of new home. It blasted my nostrils as I realized some people in the house were still moving in. I palmed my head, seeing that there had to be more then one kid in this three story house.
I stand corrected.
I heard Justin Bieber's song 'Sorry', and it didn't take me so long to figure there was like some teenage girl in the room at the end of the hall of the three story house.
I sighed. I didn't have time for some Justin Bieber fan girl.
I stopped in the corridor of the third story, realizing there was a room that had its door open, and looked completely empty.
Without notifying anyone, I dropped my iPhone on a desk and sat on the empty wood floor.
It was relatively new, no dust bunnies floating anywhere.
I picked up my phone again, and called Hailey. "Hello?" I asked, the annoying ringing noise had stopped.
"Kyle, I swear if you took her phone I'll-" I stopped her, "It's me Hail." I smiled, nearing her voice.
"Kyle, stop playing with me, I'm not on the mood." She didn't believe me.
"I've woken up. People tell me it's been five months. Hail, it's really me." I felt a tear roll down my cheek, but I was quick to wipe it. "Stop. It's not funny. They told me she wasn't gonna wake up. I watched her everyday. She hasn't woken up." Hail said.
She didn't believe me.
"Hailey. It's me, I swear." I said, getting a little more upset by the second.
"Oh yeah? Meet me at her favorite place in the entire world that only we know about." With that, she hung up and I was running out the door to our favorite place that only we knew about:
The Crest.
