Song of the Day: Rebel Yell, by Billy Idol

//////

"Can I get you a drink?" A man asked Riley. He held out a glass of champagne towards her. He had dark brown hair, and a tuxedo. She smiled at him, taking the glass.

"Thank you. Mr..." She said, trailing off. The man looked up at her.

"Gavin Herche."

"Riley Matthews."

The two sipped from their champagne glasses silently. "So...what is such a pretty girl like yourself doing at an art history museum in Russia, especially when you speak English?" Gavin asked.

"You speak English too. I'm kind of picking up a little farm boy dialect in there. So, I guess I could ask you the same question." Riley shot back, half sassy, half really asking. Gavin sighed.

"Can't a farm boy have a little fun?"

"Not when they're acting peculiar. So, Gavin...I'm going to check out the exhibit now, and I'd really prefer if you didn't follow me." Riley said, putting her glass back in his hand.

"If you insist." Gavin replied.

"Man, you are really close to her. Now, you've just have to ensure that she takes you as a hostage. We didn't really plan that far ahead man, so be careful." Zay whispered into the comms unit.

"It's okay. I plan as I go along anyways. I call it improvising." Lucas talked back into the unit in his ear.

"Not so loud, okay? People could hear you. And besides, you talking is like yelling in our ears, so bring it down a notch." Josh added. Lucas gave a little moan into the earpiece, understanding. Even though he couldn't seem them, Lucas knew that Josh and Zay were giggling at his mannerisms with the target. He scratched his ear, hoping they'd get the point.

"If you insist." Lucas said, and Riley smiled, walking away. He watched her as she carefully moved up the stairs and into the hallway. "Let's get close again Matthews. Real close."

"Be careful Lucas." Josh whispered.

Knowing that the first thing Riley would do when she took him, Lucas removed his earpiece, much to Josh and Zay's numerous complaints. She couldn't see the earwig, or they'd all be screwed, the op unsuccessful. He slid the piece into his pocket and started up the stairs. He could see Riley standing dangerously close to the fire alarm. But he saw something she didn't. Josh, dressed as a guard, moved towards her. Lucas had to move, now. He ran up the stairs and go to Riley.

"I thought I told you not to follow me Gavin." Riley said, smiling.

"You're a very pretty girl, and I was wondering whether or not you'd like to dance?" Lucas asked, on impulse. He had to move quickly and get this over with.

Josh was getting closer. This was plan B. Not Lucas's plan B.

"As much as I'd like to, I can't." Riley said. Josh was insanely close. Josh pulled out his gun and pointed it at Riley.

This wasn't Lucas's plan.

"Freeze." He said, and Riley grabbed Lucas. Josh lowered his gun a little. Riley dragged Lucas with her, into the blacked out hallway with the paintings. Another girl and a boy stood there, paintings in arms. Lucas recognized them as Maya Hart and Lucas Friar.

"Riley, what is this?" Farkle yelled.

"Insurance. A guard was on to me, and I didn't feel like getting shot...again. And besides, he's seen us, and can identify us. We don't just want him on the streets."

"Well, then we'll have Sarah take him out."

"He might be useful." Maya fought. "What do you do for a living."

"I hack computers." Lucas answered.

"He's perfect. We can't keep having Sarah on the computer all the time, it get's boring."

"Okay. Let's go. But even a toe out of line." Farkle warned.

"I won't."

"Just to be safe. I'm going to search him when we get back to the hotel."

"Let's get in the van." Farkle began. "Sarah is going to be pissed."

//////

"Okay, he's clear." Riley said, after finishing searching Gavin. He stood in the living room of the hotel, only in underwear, shivering. Riley motioned for something, and Gavin was given clothes. "Welcome to the team. Gavin Hershe." She said, shaking his hand as he pulled up his pants.

Riley stormed into the other room, and close behind her, Farkle followed.

"I don't think its a good idea to keep him around."

"Could you be more blunt about it Farkle?" Riley asked rhetorically.

"No, not really. Riley, I don't trust him, and I don't think you should either."

"Do you really think I trust someone I took as a hostage and decided to keep?"

"We've gotten rid of hostages before, what's any different about this one. Is he special?"

"Farkle, doesn't he remind you of anyone?"

"This is about Greg, isn't it."

"It's not about him. Greg and Gavin are two different people."

"Riley, they look almost exactly the same. And their names even start with the same letter. And besides, its your fault that Greg's dead, not mine." Farkle shot out. "Riley, I'm so sorry."

"You're right. It is my fault that the only boy I ever loved is dead." Riley said.

Six Months Earlier

"Riley, this isn't a good idea." Greg said.

"Dont be a baby Greg. Get in the car."

"Riley!" Greg yelled, jumping in front of Riley. The bullet passed through his body, grazing Riley. Maya ran towards them and pulled Riley down.

"We have to get out of here." Maya said.

"We can't just leave him." Riley said, tears streaming down her face.

"We have no other choice." Maya said, bringing her to the private jet they had rented, and slammed the door. Farkle took off into the sky, and Riley sat crying against the door.

"I'm so sorry."

"I just want to be alone right now Farkle." Riley said, a single tear running down her face.

She leaned up against the pillow on her side of the bed, and cried herself to sleep. Gavin, Maya, Farkle, and Sarah took turns checking on her, making sure that she was okay. While Riley slept, Maya and Farkle showed Gavin how to package the paintings and take proper pictures of them.

But in the other room, none of them could hear Riley whisper. "It wasn't Greg he reminded me of."
