Song of the Day: Habits, by Tove Lo

"Can you pass the red cup on your right?" Riley asked, sitting next to Lucas. She flashed him her prettiest smile, and giving in, Lucas reached over and handed her the plastic red cup.

The team was sitting around a bonfire in Oregon, where they were camping. They had made it out of Washington by nightfall and had gotten a couple of tents in a local camp ground. A couple of other people were there, but they had long gone to bed, including poor Sarah, who was exhausted.

"Well, I'm turning in." Farkle announced. He stood up and brushed the dirt from his pants, and retreated to the tent he was supposed to share with Lucas.

Riley took a sip from the cup, and spilled a little on herself. "Careful there Riles, that's like your third thing of beer." Lucas said, and Riley smiled standing up and throwing her cup into the trash. She pulled Lucas up off the log he was sitting on, and she wrapped his arms around her.

"Will you dance with me Gavin?" She said, but she was already dancing. Lucas turned back to look at Maya, but she was walking away. He shrugged and turned back to Riley.

"Of course princess." Lucas said, and he tightened his grip on Riley, pulling her closer to him. "Riley, there's something I need to tell you." Lucas said, but Riley must've been too drunk to care, but not enough that she didn't know what she was doing. She pressed her lips to Lucas's.

"Come with me." Riley said, pulling away from Lucas. She grabbed his hand and pulled him along with her back to her tent. She pushed him to the air mattress on the ground.

"Riley." Lucas moaned, a little confused.

Right in front of Lucas, Riley grabbed the hem of her t-shirt and pulled it above her head, tossing it to the side of the tent. She pinned Lucas down, her legs holding down his body, and she hovered an inch above him, kissing him and then biting his lip.

"Riley." Lucas moaned again, this time, not confused.

Riley unbuttoned each button of Lucas's shirt, and he leaned upwards, letting it slide off of his shoulders, and he reached around his back, taking his shirt over. Riley's fingers traced over Lucas's six pack, and went all the way down to his pants, when Lucas couldn't take it anymore, and in one swift move, he rolled her over so he was laying on top of her.

Lucas stood up and unbuckled his belt, throwing in along with Riley's shirt, and he took off his pants, and soon after, Riley's. The two kept kissing, until finally Lucas stopped and went over to his wallet, and pulled out a condom. He slid it on, and they began to ride.

After a while, Riley and Lucas stopped, trying to calm down their heartbeats, and eventually they fell asleep, Lucas spooning Riley, and the two felt calm listening to each others snores.

The next morning, Lucas stretched his arms, and realised he just woke up next to Riley.

He just broke about 13 FBI policies and 52 International Laws.

Riley rolled over to face him, and her eyes fluttered open, and when she saw him, she just smiled. She gave him a quick peck on the lips and stood up, walking over to her where her clothes had been thrown the night before, and she tossed Lucas his clothes.

Lucas quickly got dressed and together, the two left the tent, not bothering to even brush their hair or anything. Other campers were sitting at picnic tables.

Farkle and Sarah were sipping coffee from paper cups. Maya was walking over to the table to join them, three coffees in hand. She sat down, and Lucas and Riley joined them.

"For future reference, I think you need to be a little quieter." Farkle said, and everyone turned to look at him, amazed at how he could say something like that so boldly. After everyone had turned away, Farkle leaned over to Lucas, and whispered. "You go Hersche."

"Thank you Farkle." Lucas whispered back, and he stood up, intertwining his fingers in between Riley's and he led her off to the breakfast buffet the campground was serving.

"So..." Riley said, turning to Lucas, and stared into his eyes.

"So..." Lucas said, staring back into Riley's eyes.

"What are we?" Riley asked, and Lucas looked a little startled by her question.

"What do you mean, what are we? We're Riley and..." Lucas paused, desperately wanting to say his own name, to be Riley and Lucas again, just like seventh grade. But he couldn't. Luckily, Riley didn't even notice the pause, and just thought that he was breathing. "Gavin."

"So we're a couple." Riley said, and Lucas nodded. She leaned up against him, wanting to inhale all of him, to never let go of him, if that's what she had to do.

"Yes, we're a couple. I think Alice would be happy to find that out." Lucas said, and Riley gasped.

"I never called Alice last night. Shit." She said, pulling her phone out of her pocket. 3 Missed Calls, the screen read, and Riley looked horrified at herself. "I missed calling Alice."

"It's okay." Lucas said, but Riley just burst into tears. They kept walking in line, every one in a while, getting a dirty look from a passerby (or Maya directed at Lucas), and they grabbed their food.

"This is not okay. She's never going to forgive me." Riley said.

"When's her birthday?" Lucas asked, and all he could get out of Riley was April. Maybe they could visit her at Christmas.

What a weird October.

Once back at the table, Riley shoved her face with food, tears streaming down her face. "Riley, stop crying. Lucas said, but she wouldn't listen, and even though he wiped away her tears, she kept crying more and more. "Well, at least last night happened." She said.
