Dia stormed out of the cafe, as tempting as it was to stay, his behaviour was infuriating her at the moment. She slammed the door shut once inside his car as he followed her out.

"Dia!" He called. Idon came over and slid into his car. "Dia, hey, calm down."

"I do not care and I don't think I will." Dia snapped, not turning to him.

"You can say all that now but you wouldn't if he was right in front of you." Idon began.

"You don't know me." Dia began. "Why does he hate me a-" she turned to him, only to be blocked by his lips landing on hers. It caught her by surprise and she sat there, frozen. She wasn't the only one his action caught by surprise.

Aidon stared at them hard. He had only just stepped out to witness his cousin lip locking with the girl he was tied down to by the Fates. He hated what the Fates had in store for him. Hated his past, his present, his future, his father, his cousin, that girl... But most of all...

He hated his inability to fall in love with her.

"Aïdōneús?" The voice called, cloaked in the heavy thick raspy voice it was famous for. Aidon stood by the throne room french doors, which were open wide for him. He could not see him before he appeared right beside him, the silver mist leaving. His eyes were silver and Aidon loved looking into them. The owner of the voice looked at the boy standing at his door. He was 16 then, the boy. "Aïdōneús, son; you need to let her go." The man put a hand on Aidon's shoulder. A woman suddenly joined them, adorned in golden robes much like her glittering golden straight hair and her eyes were hazel. She put both her hands on his face, cupping it.

"Aïdōneús, my boy." Her voice was calm and soothing, filled with love and felt like a soft, beautiful song in his ears. "For the sake of your poor heart, please let her go."

"I... I cannot. Forgive me, mother." Aidon looked away, knowing he was bringing tears into the woman's eyes. The man beside him scowled, letting out a deep growl.

"Zeus should have never exiled the children to Earth. What was he thinking... They're immortal for the love of Asphodel!" He rasped. The woman slowly put her hands on his shoulders.

"Calm down dear... He's only a boy... He will learn." She said to him soothingly. He looked at the woman, his wife, and the mother of his golden son.

"Why must she do this?" He asked, his expression turning to disappointment. "I had more faith in her than to hurt my only boy."

"She had nothing to do with it, love."

"SHE made him like this."

"It was the Moi-"

"The Moirai have a different fate for him. Everyone knows this. Everyone knows who his queen will be. But this... This mortal girl right now... She will break him!" He raged, interrupting her.

"Kylie is my queen." Aidon interrupted them. The couple looked over at him in silence. They found his act of bravery stupid, and his will to make the mortal live on foolish.

"She will die." The man spat. "You cannot." It was silent. "I will curse her how dare she do this." He was referring to the woman who had wronged his boy.

"She had not-" the woman tried again.

"Then how would you explain this. She is the only answer, even if she denies it." The man glared at Aidon. "She did this to my boy."

"Who?" Aidon asked, his curiosity getting the best of him. He was greeted by silence before his mother grabbed him, the both of them sliding down onto the floor as she engulfed him in her warm embrace, clutching his head with both of her arms as she put a soft kiss on the top of his head. The man took in a deep breath.

"Aphrodite."

Dia found herself at school the next day, sitting in Greek class. She pretended as if the kiss had never happened. It had been very awkward for the both of them. It had sparked nothing sexual; then again, it never did for her. They were silent afterwards and he drove her home, no words being passed by the two. Much to her relief and disappointment, neither Idon nor Aidon were at school. She wasn't surprised when she was paired with Lohel for the class, seeing as both of their actual 'study buddies' weren't there.

"Y-You're f-fairly pretty." Lohel began, his words seeming to show a hint of bravery as he was openly complimenting her.

"Where'd you get the guts to say that to me?" She answered, her face on full bitch mode, breaking his confidence.

"New co-concoction I-I... I made." He answered. "Gives-confid-dence."

"Great." She began, sarcastically displaying her enthusiasm. "Now make one for you to fix your habit of stammering out words." She went back to looking impassive. "Why do you talk like that anyway."

"I-I... Don't remem-mber." He stuttered.

"Yeah well it's annoying. Either you fix that or you stop speaking to me, and I don't think the first is happening anytime soon so might as well just shut up now." Her words indicated that she didn't want to communicate with him. He didn't take her harsh words to heart. After all, it wasn't her fault she was like this. It was the upbringing to blame. Instead, he took out a book and began to work on more herbs. She gave him a look of disgust before pulling out her phone. What was his deal anyway... Her thoughts trailed off when she saw a text message from Meg on her phone. She called her immediately.

"Where are you?" She demanded.

"Uh... Greece." Meg answered.

"What?" Dia nearly yelled. What was she doing in Greece?

"I had to come see a friend of mine."

"Which one? Wait, you have a friend in Greece?" Dia lowered her voice.

"Well yeah, I've always been friends with her. Long as I can remember." she seemed to sound uncomfortable, especially when saying the word, friend.

"Well, when are you coming back?" Dia got straight to the point.

"Two weeks. Tops."
