“I have some exciting news to tell you.” Mom barged inside my room bright and early with a bright smile. “Your father and I have been thinking that it's about time that you had some fun. And what I mean about fun is doing a good old fashion camp-out.”
I watch her more closely as she gracefully composes herself, “A Camp-out? Who? When did you think of this idea?”
“Well, I thought it would be a fun idea for you to go camping. With your brothers and oh! Also Issac and Hannah.”
“What? No! No!” I fall face down on the floor from my bed,
Mom rushes to my side and helps me up, “I'm guessing your excited?” she raised a brow,
“No, clearly the opposite. Mom how could you do this to me. A room with my annoying brothers and then a couple who are getting married. I think they have better things to do instead of flickering around with us.”
“Oh, your father and I are not going.” She smiled even brighter,
“What?”
“Your old enough to watch yourself, but your Aunt Alex is tagging along.”
“Aunt Alex?” I asked in total belief.
“Yes.” she shakes her head up in down,
I shirked with excitement. I haven't seen my Aunt Alex in forever. Since her important role in her Kingdom Mordrivale, she had duties to attended. Being Princess of Mordrivale and soon to be Queen she has a lot on her stake.
“Get packing.” mom orders,
“Now?”
“Now.”
“But isn't it early?”
“Nothing is to early. Just get packing. Your Aunt Alex will be here in a few minutes or so.”
I shake my head as she walks out my door and leaves me here thinking to myself. Staying with my brothers for a whole week isn't too bad. I was raised with those brats. But having Issac and Hannah tag along is far to much for me. I can't just do it by myself. I got to ask Danny.
~..~
“Hey.” I nervously say as I walk toward Danny who is working with a strange medal.
“Julie, hey.” Danny doesn't turn around. He's concentrated on his work,
“So, I was wondering.” I slowly walk in front of him, “If you wanted to go camping with us.”
He doesn't say anything just keeps working.
“As in us I mean my brothers and my Aunt Alex. Also Issac and Hannah.” I lower my voice when I say Issac's name, “Besides, it would be fun. Were just going for a week. Not that far from here. Just the forest. “
Still no response.
“So you want to go?” I take a heavy breath and stay still as I look at Danny who stops working,
“She's getting worse.” he lowers his head ,
I didn't have to tell him twice. I knew the answer. I hugged Danny from behind, he turned around facing me.
“Tell her to feel better. She's a strong women I know she'll come around.” I always told him that and the more I said it I started to think it wasn't helping that much. Danny strains to smile as he watches my movements,
“Thanks. Julie, sorry I can't come.”
“It's okay. Your mom needs more attention.” I smile briefly before I let go of him, “She'll do fine.”
I really do hope she does do fine. She was my nurse when I was little. I wouldn't want anything happening to her.
~..~
“Aunt Alex!” I scream all the way from the castle outside as I see my father and Alex having a deep conversation,
“Here she comes.” I heard dad say, rolling his eyes.
“There's my favorite niece.” Alex wrapped her arms around me,
“I'm so glad your here.” I honestly told her.
“I'm glad too.”
…..................
“So, hows life being a fatty old princess.” Alex added as she swiftly jumped on my bed,
“Nothing special. Just here trying to find the perfect man.” I tell her.
“Oh come on. We both know that you wouldn't dare date any Princes. Just Danny.” She snickered from behind me as I packed my things into a bag.
“I had a crush on him when I was five. I'm sixteen.”
“Still he's pretty hot don't you think?” Aunt Alex says stretching her arms out,
“Well.”
“Knock Knock. Princess.” Hannah came inside my room with a bright smile on her face, “Sorry, your mother said I could come in.” she looked innocently up at me then at Alex,
“It's okay. Come over here.” I waved her over to were I was at, “Which do you think is better?” I ask,
“Um, the blue one?” she nervously responded,
I picked up the blue dress. It was simple and nothing to flashy or expensive. I smile in approval, “Good choice.”
She sighs, “So, are we leaving?”
“Yeah, just let me get my stuff down.”
“I'll be waiting. Girls night is going to fun.”
Whaaaaaat? “Why isn't Issac coming?” I ask,
“Your funny Princess. Issac is not a girl. Your mother said Girls night out.”
“Wait, my mom told me Issac was coming also my brothers.”
“Your brothers are coming too?”
“I'm not sure yet. Let me check.” I get up from were I'm sitting and make my way over to my moms room.
“Come in!” Mom shouted,
“Mom. Hannah's here and she told me something about Girls night out?”
“Well, your brothers are going with your father with an important meeting and Issac also. So, I deiced to make it a girls night out for you guys.” She was organizing some papers.
“You could have told me sooner.”
“Well you all ready know. Go on.” She pushed me out of her room,
“UGH!”
“Are we ready to go.” Hannah popped out of no where and scared the crap out of me, “Are you okay?” Hannah asked concerned.
“Yeah, let's go.” I tell her as I saw Aunt Alex came in from behind with my things as I helped her.
