Julia Point of View:
There wasn't much to say as to what I felt about Duke over the past few months. I felt like I've judged him to harshly the second time he had paid a visit. It wasn't like he asked for it, but he had acted a bit weird since day one, but now he kind of grown on me. I can't seem to stop smiling every time his name is mentioned in the dinner table when Mother and Father are discussing of up coming events and whether they should invite him.
Tonight of all days my father had to arrange a dinner with King Daniel of Evergreen when I had plans with Duke. Luckily Duke will arrive shortly and accompany me horse riding. My mother thought it was perfectly okay for me to skip dinner and join Duke since they don't see any use of me there at all. Which was perfectly okay with me.
I decided to get dressed up early and put on my best dress, but not to fancy since I'll be riding a horse. Putting my hair in a braid I ran downstairs.
"Julia, there you are." Mother called, "Can I have a word please?"
I couldn't see the person behind her since she was blocking my view as she takes a hold of my hand and pulls me away before catching a quick glance.
"Don't get mad at me, but I need you to do me a favor." I've never had my mother come and tell me she needed a favor. It was either an order or she took care of it herself.
"Depends...."
"You see King Daniel has arrived and I had no idea he was going to bring his son Prince Issac along. If you can just take him with you when you meet up with Duke."
"Mother, that's going to be so awkward. I don't know this boy."
"-and that's why I'm asking you as a favor."
I didn't argue much since I knew my mum was going to win no matter what I said, "Fine." I keep my arms crossed as she quickly pecked me on the cheek.
"That's my girl. I'll go get him." She walked back to where she was recently at as a guy who was around my age walked beside my mother. Just by one walk I felt like he ruled a kingdom and with his head held high he held superior. I rolled my eyes. Since the day my mother considered me as the bachelorette of the Kingdom. Different Princes form around the world would come visit me and ask for my hand, but I quickly declined. I'm not interested in Princes. Especially, ones that act like......him.
"Princess Julia." he bowed as his eye contact roamed the room never quite racing mine.
"Well, I'll leave you too it. I should probably assists your father's now." Mother left quickly, If I wasn't a bit occupied with Duke coming and this Prince tagging along then I would be wondering what my mom was doing.
"Well, I'm going horse riding-"
"Look just to make this clear. I'm not interested and I surly didn't want to come, but your mother is very persistence."
I opened my mouth to reply, but I fell silent as if someone slapped me across the face, "I never asked if you were interested. It's fine by me if you want to stay and be bored to death." feeling my cheeks burn form embarrassment. I had never been told by a Prince that they never found me attractive. That almost hurt my feelings.
"It looks like I have to go now, or else your mother would think you told me to stay and you would get into trouble."
"You should stop acting like you care it doesn't work for you." I walked off outside as I waited for Alfred to come with the carriage.
"Your a brat you know that."
I hardly knew this guy and he was calling me a brat. A tear fell from my eye, but I kept my back away from him. I kept silent and didn't say a word to him. He didn't deserve my friendship. I tried my best to be nice, but he had such a attitude especially towards me. Finally Duke had arrived as Alfred opened the door.
