7. I Don't Like Bullies
Megan POV
I was sitting out the front of Florean Fortescue's Ice-cream Parlour in Diagon Alley. I twirled a quill between my fingers and stared at the piece of parchment in front of me. It was covered in words I had written though there weren't any proper sentences.
I had come to Florean Fortescue's Ice-cream Parlour everyday for the past month. Florean had been helping teach me how to write and he would give me the occasional free ice-cream. So far I could write well I just couldn't write paragraphs that made sense.
I had spent the whole month reading my school books and learning how to write. I had learnt a lot about the wizarding world and was extremely excited for when I would go to Hogwarts.
I sighed I should probably go now I picked up the parchment. "Bye Florean," I called. "I need to get all my stuff so I can catch the train to Hogwarts."
Florean smiled at me. "See you. Will you come visit me next year?"
"Of course I will. I have to go now, Tom said someone would be here to pick me up at nine thirty." I said before turning and sprinting back to the 'Leaky Cauldron'.
Once inside I ran past people and flew up the stairs and down the corridor. I burst in to my room panting.
I heard a little cough and looked up seeing Mcgonagall sitting on the couch.
"Ah, there you are hurry up or we are going to be late," she said, standing up.
"I'll just get my things." I said about to rush off into my bedroom.
"No need to." said Mcgonagall. She flicked her wand and my trunk filled with clothes and my school things appeared. Sitting on top of my trunk was a cage with my snowy white owl in it. I had named my owl Celeste.
"Why do we have to leave so early? The train doesn't leave until eleven o'clock. Can't you just apparate us to the train station a bit before the train leaves?" I asked sadly. I actually quite liked it here and I enjoyed spending time in Diagon Alley.
"I'm not taking you to the train station, I'm taking you to meet the people your going to spend summer breaks with. I am going to apparate us to their house and they will take you to Kings Cross Station to catch the train," she explained.
"Who are they?" I asked eagerly.
"Just wait and find out. Now come on and hold onto my arm, hold onto your trunk and owl as well so they come with us."
I reached out and grabbed her arm holding it tightly. Then reaching out my other hand I grabbed the handle on my trunk and the bars of Celeste's cage.
I then felt the odd sensation of being squeezed through pipes as everything swirled into blackness. As suddenly as the sensation had begun it finished and the blackness left.
I was standing on the sidewalk looking at a house in front of me. It was neat, everything about it was neat, there wasn't a thing out of place. This house was exactly the same as all of its neighbors, up and down the whole street. The letter box said number 4.
I turned to Mcgonagall who was standing beside me. "Where are we?"
"This is number 4 Privet Drive. Now go and knock on the door, I have to go back to Hogwarts and prepare for when all the students come. Goodbye."
"Wait-" I cried but there was a crack as she disapparated.
I sighed, I suppose I should knock on the door so that I can meet these people. Do they know that I am coming, they probably do if they're going to take me to catch the train.
