27. Everything just gets a lot worse.

Megan POV

I kept a straight face and didn't make a sound as Victoria slapped me across the face.

"You stupid, useless girl!" she screamed at me. "You can't even get the first step right!"

Another week had passed and Victoria hated the fact she had to teach me things. At the moment she was trying to get me to memorize how to make the Draught of living Death, a potion so deadly it had death in it's name. It was a damn hard potion.

"Fine then here's an idea for you, you aren't going to get a bite to eat until you can make the potion off by heart." she smirked at me evilly. "How about you get me when you think you can do it. Oh, and I don't care if you starve to death."

Victoria stormed out of the room dramatically while I set to work. Why couldn't I be memorizing an easier potion, why?

***Harry POV***

I hadn't figured out much about Snape yet but that didn't mean I was going to stop trying. What I had figured out was that the thing Fluffy was guarding was the Philosophers Stone. A stone invented by Nicolas Flamel, that could make the elixir of life, which basically turned the drinker immortal. No wonder Snape would want it.

Oh yeah, I also figured out that Snape was after the stone.

Wait am I talking to myself? Wow I really have gone crazy.

I remembered when I overheard Snape threatening Quirrel to tell him how to get passed Fluffy and asking him what his bit of hocus pocus was. That was how we figured out that there were other things guarding the stone, so at least it wasn't just Fluffy.

Then we saw Hagrid and he told us that Snape had helped guard the Stone. We've realized that the only things Snape don't know how to do are get past Fluffy and whatever Quirrel did.

Also as it turns out Hagrid is hiding an illegal dragon in his hut.

***Megan POV***

God was I starving. I hadn't eaten in what seemed like forever, but finally I knew how to make the stupid potion.

Now all I had to do was prove it to Victoria. This was going to be an even longer day.

"Victoria!" I yelled up the stairs.

A few minutes later she stormed in.

"What do you want?" she snarled.

"I can make the potion," I mumbled.

"Alright then let's see."

I bit my lip with worry but began to make the potion.

I had finished the potion.

"Perfect," growled Victoria. "Bloody perfect, too bloody perfect! How did you cheat?"

"What, I didn't cheat! I can make it off by heart I just did, you were watching me!"my voice kept on rising. Suddenly I felt scared, what would she do, she wouldn't like it that I yelled at her.

"You stupid ungrateful child!" Thwack! She hit me so hard across the face that I fell to the ground. "I feed you I look after you and what do you do, you lie to me!" She made it sound like she was looking after me out of the good of her heart, she made it sound like she hadn't kidnapped me, she sounded like Mrs. Johnston.

I screamed as she kicked me in the ribs. Crack! I felt a couple break.

"The Dark Lord would be so angry with you if he knew how you are acting!" she kicked me again, in the stomach this time so all the air was knocked out of me.
