Chapter 28 - Arguments, Therapy and Cheesy Comments

"What?!" I practically shouted, nearly falling off the bed. She smiled at me.

"They are in this abandoned warehouse, quite far away from here," She explained. "It would take a few hours to get there."

"When are you guys going?" Nathan asked.

"They're going to start next week Tuesday, because they need to set up all the equipment, get all the information together and other things." She answered.

I noticed how that was the day Cece was born. And that only gave us six days, since it was Wednesday.

"That's great! I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when we burst in through the doors and I'm gonna be like 'surprise motherfu-" I babbled but my mum interrupted me.

"Honey, you're not going with us." My mum told me and I stared at her.

"What?! I have to go! They have my little sister captive!" I exclaimed and I heard someone gasp. We turned to see Hannah staring at us, standing at the curtains.

I groaned and slapped a hand on my forehead. Could things get any more worse?

WHY did you just think that?? My inner voice shouted, which didn't make sense because technically it thought that as well.

"What did you just say? Cece is what?" Hannah practically screamed.

"Shh!" Nathan hissed, pulling her inside and shutting the curtains.

"What's going on?" Hannah exclaimed.

"Is there any kind of drug we can give that will make her forget the past minute?" I asked no-one in particular and she glared at me.

"Unique! Explain. Now."

I sighed. She is your best friend.

She was. But I was pretty close with Ava, Missy and Daniel and I wasn't blabbing out anything to them.

Yeah, because they didn't find out. She did. Talk. My inner voice stated.

I sighed. Could I trust her? I didn't really want to go out telling everyone my sister was kidnapped by our father.

But I had three types of best friends, girl best friends. There was the popular, confident one who was nice to you but rude to others, but you could never really be yourself around her because she was quite judgemental.

That was Ava.

Then there was the one who you'd think was quiet and shy when you first saw her but when you got to know her she was loud, bubbly and talkative, and always acted like a really hyper chipmunk or something, but you didn't mind because she was your best friend and even if you weren't comfortable enough around her to tell her some certain things, you could tell her other things, like when it was your time of the month or something.

That was Missy.

Last of all, there was that best friend who you knew you could gossip with, and you guys insulted each other like mad but none of it was serious and you both knew that so you didn't get hurt or upset, and they were the type of friend who you'd go sky-diving or bungee jumping with because they were just as adventurous and you even though they didn't seem like it when you first saw them. Also, you were also comfortable with telling them anything, from you having a wedgie to you thinking the substitute teacher was hot, and even though you both had your secrets you would spill them eventually because you were just that close and couldn't really keep anything from each other even if you'd know each other for only a few months because you were just those kind of best friends.
