Epilogue
(CECE'S POV)
This takes place when Cece was first kidnapped by her Dad in Chapter 25.
"Cece?" I heard a faint voice whisper from above me. I opened my eyes, blinking and looked up to see the man who kidnapped me standing over me.
"Hey, sweetie. We don't have much time until the police arrive." He told me, smiling gently. "I have a gift for you."
"I don't want your gift." I tried to say, but it came out as a croak. He lightly grabbed my wrist and strapped on a black watch of some sort.
"What I'm about to tell you is extremely important, Cece." He said seriously. I nodded, staring at him.
"This watch is very important. No-one, not even your mum or sister, is allowed to take it off you or even touch it. You must never take it off. Ever. It belongs to you only." He told me with an unnerving stare.
"What's so special about it?" I whispered. He smiled sadly.
"I couldn't possibly tell you, Cece, but what I can tell you is that you will be hunted down for this. The bad guys won't stop until they get this watch. And if they ever do, you need to take off the straps and keep the actual watch, as that's the most important bit." He explained, showing me how to do it before re-attaching it back to my wrist.
"Thanks Daddy." I whispered, taking his big hand into mine. His eyes watered slightly as he leaned down to kiss my forehead.
"I'm sorry." He choked out as I heard distant sirens, and then with a flash of pain, everything went black.

[FOUR YEARS LATER]
I gently walked into the calm ocean, making a trail of soft footprints in the sand behind me. I was only ankle-deep but I could feel the soothing chills of the water travel up my body. I tilted my head back slightly and looked at the beautiful sunset taking place; its luminous colours it looked like a well painted piece of art.
I felt someone take my hand and looked next to me to see Nathan, who put his arm around my shoulder and kissed my cheek. Without saying anything I leaned into his embrace and together we watched the sun set.
"Do you ever think about past events? And wish something could have gone differently?" He asked me, breaking the silence.
I thought back to how the past four years had played out...

"Cece is slowly, yet surely, gaining back her memories." The doctor told my mum and me with a smile. I grinned and hugged Cece who leaned into my embrace.
"How long until she regains all her memories?" My mum asked him. His smile faded and he looked down at his clipboard.
"Not all of them may return."
The disappointment that I was feeling was probably not well hidden as Cece squeezed my hand reassuringly, as if I was the one with amnesia when I wasn't. She was acting so calm about the whole thing and had not once, after being released from the hospital, cried.
It wasn't like I wanted to see her cry, but with the events that had been going on it was strange that she wasn't showing any other emotions except happiness.

"One of my favourite memories in Star Academy was when you showed me the drawing you made of me." I told Nathan fondly. He grinned, squeezing my hand slightly as we looked out into the horizon.
