Chapter four of Flash back

After Daren stayed silent and glared stonily at Adeptus for a while Adeptus said

"Well there's no harm in telling me, if I was going to kill her I would have killed her a minuite ago, so come on, be fair Daren." What he said made sense, I wasn't usually one for telling random creepy people my story but he did have a point. If he had wanted to kill me he could have so what difference was knowing some things about me going to make? Apparently Daren had the same thought so resignedly he took a deep steadying breath and said somewhat sharply

"Fine what do you want to know?" Evidently pleased with having won that minor battle Adeptus drew himself up even higher in the chair and answered

"Full name, where she was born, how old she is, etcetera etcetera..." He finished the sentance with a flourish of his hands. Daren and Adeptus kept their eyes locked as they had this exchange so I was left on the side like an ear wigging third party. And it ruffled my feathers. If someone was going to be answering those questions it might as well be me. It was only fair. Darens mouth opened a fraction as he was about to talk but I held up a hand to silence him. Two pairs of eyes flicked over to where I was standing in shock, both of them waited.

"Well if we are going to be talking about me I might as well answer the questions. It is my life your on about." I spoke with folded arms, annoyance itched at me. Did they think I was so ideotic that I couldn't communicate with other people? Adeptus didn't seem to care as long as someone was going to tell him but Daren flashed me a quick glance of apolagy which I acknowledged. Taking a deep breath I started to go through my life.

"I'm Diana Mallaine and I'm eighteen, I live in a small town called Rayburn, I have lived there since I was sixteen and before that I lived in Leftfield with my auntie Joy who took me in because my parents died when I was fifteen and even before they died I lived in Leftfield with my parents and my sister who I don't keep in contact with now. A year before my parents died We were all in a car crash on our way to see my grandparents and I was on the side of the car that got hit..." I paused to catch my breath but also to watch the expression of confusion on my listeners face.

"But how are you still living then?" Adpetus asked with his eyebrows scrunched into a line. This was a question I was apprehensive about answering because I didn't know how he would react.

" Because thats when I was turned into a vampire." I waited for him to process this information. He now had a poker face on but he said

"That is something I have not yet heard of, someone being saved by being tuned into a vampire." He turned hid attention to Daren and quickly asked

"Was it you?" Daren shook his head in silence. Adeptus turned back to me.

"Who turned you into a vampire?" I glanced at Daren, I hadn't told him yet that I knew who had created me.

"I was turned by a vampire named William Mayford, I have never met him though." Darens eyes widened noticably. Adeptus saw this.
