A/N: So... there is only one POV for this chapter, just because it's 2am, and I'm two minutes away from falling asleep on my laptop.  And laptops do not make good pillows--- they aren't soft and fluffy.  And now my cat is trying to lay on my laptop... apparently my laptop is a good enough pillow for her.  Lol.

Anyway, Read, Comment and Vote =)

 Amaya’s P.O.V.

Someone or something was following me.  I didn’t know how I knew– I just did.  I looked into the side view mirror of my car as I drove.  I gasped when I saw a shape move in the woods.  You are afraid of it, my mind sneered at me, you are afraid, and yet it is probably just an animal running through the woods.  Despite the fact that my mind was probably right, I slammed my foot down harder on the gas.

It didn’t seem like a long time before I arrived at Thorne Bay.  This was where the challenge would begin… or the not-so-challenging challenge.  I pulled onto a street with a few small stores on the sides of the roads.  Yellow and pink seemed to be on every window of every shop.  I pulled over to look at one of many yellow flyers stuck to a window of a café.

MISSING:

The Darkwater family has suddenly vanished from their home near Salamander Lake without a trace.  Many residents of Thorne Bay were close with members of this family.  Mr. and Mrs. Darkwater were blessed with triplets, all at the age of fifteen.  Maria Darkwater, along with her sisters Mimi and Nel, all decided to dye their hair a week before their disappearance.  According to the information given by several members of the community, Maria dyed her hair blue, Mimi dyed her hair blonde, and Nel dyed her hair a bright red.  The triplets were supposedly doing this as an early celebration of their sixteenth birthday, which is in one week.  We hope to have the family returned safe and sound to their home by that time.

Thorne Bay is considered a very peaceful town, but many people worry that there is a criminal lurking in the darkness.  If you find any information regarding the Darkwater family, please contact the local police station.

I stared at the flyer in silence.  There was no way that an entire family of five could disappear without a trace– without one piece of evidence left behind.  Salamander Lake... I thought silently, Salamander Lake isn’t too far away from here.  If I left for the lake now, I would get there just before nightfall.  I walked back to my car and drove to my new destination.

The Darkwater’s residence was not hard to find.  Their house was small, but it was beautiful and seemed big enough for five people.  I did not approach it– I wouldn’t dare to do that unless it was already dark outside, and the sun was just starting to set now.  I looked around.  My car was parked on the side of the road, quite a distance from the end of their long driveway.  As I approached the driveway, I noticed very fresh tire tracks heading down a road I knew had a dead end.

Deciding to follow the tracks, I went back to my car.  Tracking tire prints was annoying and troublesome, but I was willing to endure it to find where this ‘Blake Amleth’ was staying.  When the road came to the dead end, I got out of my car to investigate.  Faded footprints started at the edge of the road.  Damn, this man was a moron.  But he might want to be found, my mind whispered.
