A/N: Sorry everyone. I know that some of you have been waiting since February for this upload, but, as some of you know, I was having major issues with my writing. Too many things were on my mind, and I couldn't focus very well. I was just starting to get my flare of writing back up right before Easter, and then my hard drive on my computer died—deleting all of my apps and documents in the process, and I cannot recover them. So... I'll try my best to retype what was saved only on my computer, and post it on here for you as soon as possible. However... I have over a month's worth of work that I need to rewrite, so... it might take a long time...
Anyway... I'm posting a really long chapter today for the sake of continuing the story... It might be posted at midnight or three in the morning, but... that's my specialty—typing until I pass out on my computer.........

And....... Enjoy! =)

Hayate's POV
'Ren... Are all the fighters prepared for battle?' I called out to my Beta.
'Yeah. Mai and Sarah's pack are prepared to. Did Amaya contact you?'
'That's not important,' I grumbled— I was still frustrated that Amaya was blocking me from her mind. I knew that she was worried about something, but... she was not telling me. Did I do something wrong? No… that could not be it. She was afraid to tell me? But why? Oh, no… was she fighting Harou right now?! ‘What is important is finishing this battle as quickly and efficiently as possible. I need to get to Amaya as soon as I can… Ren, something is off about this situation.’
To the rest of the pack, I spoke out, loud and clear: ‘I need all of you to listen carefully to what I am about to say. This battle is not about the life of just one wolf. This battle is about the life of the Pack. When we lose one wolf, we lose a piece of our Pack, and in turn, we lose a part of ourselves. A man, far from being sane, is attempting to spirit away and violate not only my mate, but a man’s daughter; a woman who is a friend to many of you after such a short time. She is laughter among the children, light among the darkest of us, and a heaven-sent blessing to this pack, just like the rest of you. Will you all fight for the sake of both her and the Pack?’
I heard every wolf in the entire Pack, and even in Sara’s Pack, howl in approval. ‘YES!’
I continued: ‘Keep in mind, while you all fight for our honor: rescuing Amaya is not the only goal here. I do not want to lose any single wolf out there—in my Pack, or any other. Fight to live, and live for those you love, and love with all your might. As of this point forward—WE FIGHT!’
Every wolf on our side howled, and the battle began.
-----------------------------------------------------One Minute into Battle------------------------------------------------
‘Ren, Huyu, form two units to do the main fighting; Nozomu, form a third unit for only defense—do NOT let a wolf past your line. Sara, can I ask you to lend me a member from your pack for a covert part of this attack? Mai, Akuma, I want you two with me as well.’
