*****A/N: Okay, all of you can be mad at me. I know it took me forever to get another chapter up, but I had a lot of important things to do. Now that my grandmother is living alone, she needs a lot of help around her house. She has quite a few medical issues, and so she is unable to do even basic things such as going downstairs to do laundry, and cleaning her house. Seeing that I am one of the few grandchildren who live near her house, I have been spending a good majority of my time helping her. I apologize to you all.
Personal stuff aside....

Amaya’s POV
Why didn’t Hayate tell me that he had seen me before?
That was a stupid question, my wolf spoke up– I had not realized that she was awake and in my mind, he didn’t tell you for a simple reason. Think about it, baka. If he told you that he had known you since you were two years old, then when you met him that night, you would have thought that he was a stalker.
Well he is a little stalker-ish sometimes… I muttered.
Shut it. My point being; he did not want you to freak out– like you’re about to right now. But if you were not such an idiot, you would realize that.
I sighed– I was not going to freak out and prove that my wolf was right. So I replied sarcastically, Can you ever address me as something other than ‘baka’ or ‘idiot’?
Hmm… Nope. It’s just too much fun… Baka, my wolf laughed before leaving my mind.
I sighed quietly; I might as well go back to sleep. I snuggled closer to Hayate before dozing back to sleep.

“Amaya?”
I groaned, rolled over, and mumbled, “Go away,” into a pillow– I didn’t want to wake up yet.
“Amaya, wake up, love.”
Oh… Hayate…
“I’m up, I’m up,” I muttered as I slowly opened my eyes. There he was, sitting on the edge of the bed, staring at me intently. “What?”
“Nothing… You’re just… beautiful,” he murmured as he kissed my nose.
I blushed a little. I was still not used to anyone feeling so strongly about me, seeing that I was alone so often…
“Even more so when you blush like that,” he added.
I sat there silently for a moment. “Hayate?”
“Yes, Amaya?”
“Why didn’t you tell me about… that night so long ago… that boy I saw in the woods… was you?” my question came out less clearly than I thought it in my mind, but I knew that he would understand what I meant.
