I got up early, and go ready fairly quickly and went to my office. I drank coffee, and just sat in silence.
I had to leave SM Entertainment.
I opened my laptop, updated my resume, and sent it out to other management places in Seoul. I could leave and go back to America, but I wasn't ready. My heart was still in South Korea, but not in SM Entertainment.
I then met up with the other managers and Exo members at the Dream Concert place.
The stylists came in and did the band members' hair and makeup. "Xiumin! Aww your hair is just like Luhan's last year!" Someone exclaimed. I glanced over at Xiumin to see a small pony tail, like in the rap part of the Call Me Baby music video.
"Hey guys!" Chen exclaimed. "We're all back together again! This is our first concert with Lay back. Welcome back, Lay!"
"You guys are on in one minute," the stage guy told them.
They all went on stage and performed well. It looked like the break was good for them.
At the end of the show, they all flooded in backstage. "Good job you guys," Suho said. "We had a lot of energy." He glanced at me, as if I would say something negative.
"It was a really good show," I added. "Go to bed early, don't stay up to celebrate. You have a comeback week to prepare for and I don't want any of you to get sick."
I started to turn around to leave when I saw Xiumin collapse in a heap in my peripheral vision. I turned to him and rushed to his side. I didn't care if he hated me. "Minseok!" I screamed, shaking him. I turned his head to face me, his eyes closed. I ran my fingers under his sharp jawline to check his pulse. His heart seemed to be beating too fast. He might have just been exercising rigorously, but it should have slowed by now.
"Amelia," Chen said.
"Amelia," D.O joined in saying, his hand touching my shoulder. "Amelia, this happens at least twice a day."
Seeing Xiumin like this hurt me. Seeing Xiumin one step closer to death.. I couldn't watch this. "Minseok..please be okay," I said. I remembered the one time I fainted when I was eight and scared the living crap out of my mom. I could hear her speaking to me right before I woke up. "I'm so sorry," I said, and leaned in to whisper something in his ear.
"Ya!" Kai exclaimed, grabbing my arm and pulling me away from Xiumin. "He just fainted! Don't try to wake him up, and certainly do not try mouth to mouth!"
I stood up, getting back on my feet. "I wasn't going to do that!" I noticed Xiumin stirring, and his eyes opened. "I was just going to tell him something."
"Are you stupid?" Kai asked me.
"What's going on?" Xiumin asked. "Why are you all standing around? This isn't anything new." His eyes scanned the room until he saw me. "Oh. That's why."
I walked over to Xiumin, my shoulder brushing past Kai. "Are you okay?" I asked, extending my hand to him to help him up. "Do you need water, or fresh air or something?"
"No," Xiumin said, getting up on his own. "I don't need anything from you."
He walked out with D.O and Chen, and the others followed. Kai then abruptly grabbed my arm and pulled me to stand up against the wall. "Just leave him alone!" Kai said. "He doesn't want you in his life anymore."
"I can't help it," I said. I couldn't help but noticed Kai's strong grip on my wrists that were at my sides, pushing me against the wall.
"Yeah you can," Kai said. His face was really close to mine. He smirked. "When will you fall for me like every other Exo-L?" He suddenly pressed his thick lips against mine. I tried to move out of it, but Kai held my wrists so I couldn't push him away. I clenched my fists and waited for Kai to pull away.
My eyes were open, and I saw Xiumin walk in. He stopped when he saw us. "Wow," he said, his eyes glaring. "Kai was right."
Kai suddenly pulled away. "What the heck! You're my manager..you can't kiss me!"
I don't know what happened, but once Kai let go of my wrists, my right hand flew across Kai's face. "You're right, I am your manager. I'm not an Exo-L anymore." I looked at Xiumin, who didn't seem convinced. "Minseok.."
"I just forgot my jacket. I admit, I was doubting Kai for a while. Now I know for sure at he wasn't lying." Xiumin grabbed his jacket and walked out.
I glared at Kai. "You planned that, didn't you?"
"Surprisingly, I didn't." Kai smirked.
"Oh my gosh," I groaned, my hands going to my head. "I can't believe you kissed me."
"I can."
"Minseok will never believe me. Do you even get that?" I asked. "I love him. And I hate you!"
Kai walked over to me, and grabbed my arm and flung me back over to the wall again. His hands went to my face, and I grabbed his wrists with my hands. "Stop," I breathed. "You need to stop."
"D.O's family is here tonight. I have my room to myself," Kai said, looking lustfully at my lips. "If you come to my room tonight, I'll tell Xiumin the truth. And I'll make sure he believes me."
What.
"Why?" I asked. "What are you doing?"
Kai bit his lip, making me feel a certain way. What?! I didn't like Kai! I loved Xiumin, and I always have! "I like you. I did all of this since the beginning to keep Xiumin away from you. Obviously I failed. I'll get you two back together, but you owe me." He let go and walked out of he room.
I exhaled, sinking down onto the floor. I could breathe again.
I couldn't do this.
Could I?
