CHAPTER 36:The Cold Man

Cait's POV

5 years had passed... sa loob ng 5 taon... he had been always cold  to us...he didn't talked to us ever since mom died...he was so distant and he was so cold to us... he didn't cared about us... he doesn't show his love to us anymore...he drowned himself to his work... so much that he forgot that he have 2 children...

We did everything so that he would talked to us but nothing happened....he's been always in his office... his assistant and two guards are always at the front of his office....
Minsan iniisip ko kung anak pa rin ba ang turing nya samen...

Ngayon nandito kami at nagdidinner...nasa dulo sya ng lamesa nakaupo at ako sa kanan nya at si Chad nasa kaliwa nya.... He's near to us physically but I know he's far to us mentally and emotionally..... sobrang lamig ng atmosphere na bumabalot samen ngayon... but kuya decided to cut that cold atmosphere...

"Dad..."tawag ni Chad

Kaya napatingin sa kanya si Dad with those pair of cold eyes.... nakakatakot pag tumitingin sya sameng dalawa ni Chad...kaya nga hindi na ako naglalakas loob na kausapin sya kasi... nakakatakot syang tumingin.. pakiramdam ko anytime pwede nya akong ipapatay kahit na sarili nya akong anak......

"This Friday.. we will be turning to 13 dad...which means its our birthday"simpleng sabi ni Chad

Tiningnan lang sya ni dad.. at pumitik... lumapit naman ang Assistant nya sa kanya..  at nagsalita sya

"Arrange a birthday party for them  .Then call a Birthday organizer to settle the party..."sabi ni daddy....

"But dad I want you to organize the party for-----"naputol ang pagsasalita ni Chad dahil tiningnan sya ng masama ni daddy....

"I have no time for those b*llsh*t things.. I have important things to finish and meetings to attend.. I'm busy can't you see it??"malamig nyang tugon... napayuko na lang ako at pinipigilan ang pagtulo ng luha ko...

Tama..for those 5 years nagpaparty kami para sa birthday...it was happy.... for them.. but for me and Chad its useless.... whats the purpose of a birthday party if your parents aren't the one who organize it... and whats the purpose of it if they are not there to celebrate with you...

For that, When our birthday comes, dad has always been into  business trips... he's always been outside the country and he didn't even bother to attend our party or even just greet us a happy birthday...

"But dad---"magsasalita pa sana si Chad pero sinenyasan ko sya na wag nang magsalita...

"If you don't want to f*ck*n celebrate your f*ck*n birthday tell me straightly.. cause i have no time for that nonsense things.."malamig nyang sabi...

Sinenyasan nya ang assistant nya at lumapit ito sa kanya  .....

"Cancel that b*llsh*t party... "sabi nya dito at tumayo na... naglakad na sya palayo at pumasok na sa opisina nya kasunod ang assistant nya....

Napayuko na lang ako....

"I-i'm sorry Cait.. I'm j-just trying to convince him... b-but it even worsen the situation... im sorry"paghingi nya ng paumanhin.... pero nginitian ko lang sya...

"Wala kang kasalanan Chad.. you did your part and you did your best. ... maybe this is our fate.... maybe....maybe things are just like this...."sabi ko at ngumiti ng pilit....

I stand up from the chair and I bid goodnight to him and I went to my room.... Lumapit ako sa picture frame naming apat... kinuha ko ito at umupo sa higaan....I stared at it for long... ito yung mga oras na masaya kami... ito yung mga panahon na buo pa kami.. nandito pa si mommy..pero ngayon wala na sya... she's dead...

Naramdaman kong tumulo na naman ang mga luha ko na kanina ko pa hinihintay na tumulo....Then I cried all the sadness that I feel everyday....

Mom, I wish you're here... I wish youre here so that we could be a whole again.. I missed you mom..we missed you mom.. dad needs you....
