-Harry-

The drive back to my house was quite interesting. I found myself smiling in the rear view mirror every few seconds.

Why was I acting like this? What was wrong with me? I didn't know.

Gemma was sitting on the front step when I came into the driveway, her head in her hands. I got out, not looking away from her.

"Gemma?" She sat up, sniffling from the tears stained to her cheeks. her makeup was stained below her eyes, creating a dramatic effect.

"Hey, Gem. What's wrong?" I kneeled down in front of her, trying to get her to look at me.

"Gem," My hand lifted her chin up, making her look directly at me. She closed her eyes, sighing her tears away. "Mum's inside." She said, nothing more, nothing less.

I kissed her forehead, getting up and walking inside. I was a bit scared to see what's going on. I didn't know if something happened between the two of them, or if it was something completely out of purportion.

"M-Mum?" My voice was shaking again, dammit.

"Harry! Oh good your here.." She walked over. Sniffling. Why was everyone crying? She pulled me into a hug, and that's when I saw him. I backed away from my mum, anger rolling over me.

"Mum,"

"Harry he came to talk, just- be nice." She pushed me towards him. I looked up at him in anger. There was nothing good about this man, nothing.

"Hi son."

-Noel-

I tried to call Harry's cell at least a dozen times, not getting an answer.

Leaving him a message, I let him know that I was begging to worry and wanted him to call me back when he could.

"Noel! Dinner is ready!" I still had on his sweatshirt, but it didn't dawn on me until I walked into the kitchen to see my father. "Your back early Dad!" I ran into his arms, feeling myself being spun around.

"I couldn't stand being away form my little girl anymore. Plus I hear there's another boy? What happened to Lance?" I looked up at him, smiling a bit.

"I broke up with him Dad. He was rude and I remember you telling me that if a man is ever rude to me-"

"You drop him off at the dump." He finished for me. I always sounded like a little girl, his little girl.

I squeezed him one last time, taking in the moment.

"So who's this new boy I've been hearing about?" I smiled, crossing my hands in front of me. "Noella, that doesn't look like any sweatshirt you own?" I could feel my cheeks blushing, it burned but I couldn't help it.

He was here earlier today, he gave me it to wear because it was chilly out." He smiled, kissing my forehead.

"Why was he here?" I opened my mouth to speak, but then I saw my mum glaring at me. "I left my bracelet at school, and he gave it back."

"On a Sunday?" He questioned further. I nodded, trying to make my good girl ego boost up the scale. "Well O hope your not rushing into thing eh?" I shook my head, furrowing my brows as I leaned onto the counter.

"I'm not one to rush dad, you of all people know that." He laughed and rubbed my hair, kissing it lightly.

"That's my girl.." I smiled up at him, missing the three of us together.

"I got something for the two of you. But it'll have to wait until after dinner." We agreed and starting eating the delicious food my mum had cooked for the three of us.

As we opened our gifts, I thought about Harry, and what he might be doing.

"I'll be right back." I said and rushed up the stairs to my room. I looked at my phone and saw that I had three missed calls.

"Hello?"

"Harry, you didn't answer? What's going on?" I heard a door shut, then some papers being moved around.

"My dad is here." I was confused as to why that was a serious thing.

"Like your real dad or step dad?"

"My real dad." I sat down on my bed, taking in what he said. "Well I don't know what to say. Is it a bad thing?"

"He cheated on my mum and left us for a different woman."

"Oh.."

"Yeah he wasn't the best. He used to drink a lot and beat my mum. I'd be the one to say my mum needs to file the divorce. He randomly showed up after five months." I placed my hand on my forehead, leaning my elbows on my thighs.

"Harry I'm sorry.." I was completely shocked.

"I almost forgot he was my dad. I could've.." He trailed off, not finishing his statement.

"Harry it's going to be fine. But I have to go, my dad just got back from his trip to the U.S." There was a short pause, but it wasn't a good one.

"Okay, c-can you talk later?" I smiled, hugging myself with his sweatshirt.

"I'll make sure I can."

"Okay. Well, bye." I smiled, biting my soft lip. "Bye Harry." Then the line was cut. I set my phone down, walking out of my room to join my family.
