Chapter 39: I wouldn't have it any other way

Harry

I closed my door behind us and just stared at her. She was so beautiful.

She unwrapped the scarf from around her neck and took off her jacket in silence.

She sat on the bed and I sat down next to her.

"How are you?" I asked her and she smiled.

"I've been better." She said sadly, "About what you said......"

"I get if you still love Niall and you can't be with me but I just needed you to know how I felt." I interrupted her, "I love you Lauren and nothing can change that."

I saw her blush and she looked so adorable.

"I love you too." She looked at me.

"But? " I asked her.

"No buts concerning that." She said above a whisper. Her eyes never left mine, "I don't know how this is going to work and I don't know how long it will last but I know that I want you now. I will always love you and I can't pretend anymore. I know it's selfish of me....."

She stopped and I just smiled at her before leaning in and kissing her. I held her neck and she had her hands on my arms.

Her hands traveled up to my hair and she ran her fingers through my hair. I missed having her hands on me. I missed this.

I layed her down on the bed and I felt her smile. Her hands went to my chest as she brought me closer to her.

I wished that this moment would never end. When I went to hold her waist I noticed that her shirt had risen and it felt so weird touching her bare skin but in a good way.

I felt her breath hitch. I began kissing her neck and then her jaw and back to her mouth. It felt so good to just be with her then Niall popped into my head and I pulled away.

"What about Niall?" I asked her.

She seemed out of breath, "He's been trying to get us back together for a while now."

I was in shock, "he what?"

"He doesn't love me like that anymore. He kissed me at you guys party and we both agreed that we only loved each others as friends." She filled me in, "What about Kendall?"

"It's all for show." I told her, "I thought that maybe somehow she and I could make it real but I couldn't stop thinking about you."

"Now you're just trying to be cute." She said in between giggles.

I kissed her once again and she kissed back then I heard a knock at the door.
"Hey guys Nialls......" Liam walked in, "Seriously? We just talked about bros before...."

"Stop." I calmed him down, "You don't understand."

"It doesn't take a genius to see that you've chosen her over us." He walked away and I sighed getting off of Lauren and going after Liam.

"Hey Harry. Have you seen Lauren?" Niall asked as I walked into the living room.

"I'm right here." She gave Niall a hug, "I told him the truth."

"Told him what?" Liam asked.

"Told me that she loves me," I began to fill him in, "Niall wants us to be together now we just have to work on management."

"Is that really how you feel?" Liam asked Niall, "Are you really okay with them being together?"

"I love them both and he treats her right. I would have no problem with them being together but if Harry hurts her....he'll have me to deal with." Niall was always protective over Lauren.

"I won't hurt her. I promise."

"Good." Niall smiled and Lauren walked over to me and took my hand.

"I know I've caused a lot of trouble for all of you and for that I'm sorry. I didn't know what I wanted but now I know. I won't hurt Harry anymore." She held my hand tightly.

"We're glad that you're back." Louis walked over and gave Lauren a hug.

"We missed you." Zayn hugged her next.

"I'm sorry too Lauren. I shouldn't have made it seem like it was all your fault. Things happen." Liam hugged her last, "So onto the next issue; what are we going to do about Kendall, Ross, and management?"

"Ross is a good friend so he'll understand." Lauren said.

"I'll talk to our management and Kendall. It can't be that bad."

Later that day

"You can't be serious?" Kendall asked, "We just got together and now you're leaving me for your ex. I need this deal. I can't just let it go."

"Kendall I'm asking you as my friend to let the deal go.....please?" I begged her, "Have you ever been so in love with someone so much that you were willing to do anything for them. That's how I feel about Lauren. I will do anything to be with her."

"Well if your love is so epic and she loves you that much she can wait until the end of the year for you."

"But I can't wait that long to be with her."

"Well tough nuggets. You signed a contract and there's not getting out of it so man up."

"We would have no problem with you and Lauren getting back together. Everyone loved you guys together but you did sign a contract with Kendall and you can't break out of it without her consent." Management joined in.

"Kendall" I pleaded with her, "love like this doesn't come around often. Please let me have the chance to be with Lauren."

"You can be with Lauren in secret and with me in public. Win win. " she said

"No that's not a win. I want to show the world that she's mine. For it to be real it needs to be in public. People need to know that we're together. I won't be able to hide how I feel when I'm with her."

"Well then you'd better try because you're not getting out of this Harry." She shrugged her shoulders, "I'm sorry."

She got up out of her chair and left the room. I can't believe that this is happening to us. Why can't things work out in our favor for once. All I want to do is be with Lauren. I don't know how I'm going to tell her that we have to wait 8 more months before we can be together.
