Chapter 32: Love is in the Air

Harry

I just stare down at Lauren as I process the fact that she loves me too.

“You what?” I asked.

“Harry, I love you too.” She repeats herself.

Before I can even process what’s right and what’s wrong I pull her close to me and kiss her. I don’t want to break her by holding her so tight but I want to be closer to her. Next thing I know we’re on the bed and she’s on top of me.

“Harry…” Lauren said pulling away from me, “We can’t.”

“I know.” I say out of breath, “but I really want to.”

She laughs and gets off of me.

“How long have you felt this way?” I asked sitting up and facing her.

“Ever since our first kiss I was starting to develop feelings for you then when you kissed me at the carnival when there weren’t any cameras around that’s when I knew I loved you.” She blushed, “It took a while to accept the fact that I loved two people at the same time but it’s the truth.”

“Lauren…I hate to ask this but what’s going to happen next? Niall and I are best friends and bandmates I couldn’t hurt him like this.” I said sadly.

“Neither could I,” she said, “but I also couldn’t go around pretending like I don’t feel anything for you. I would practically be lying to everyone including Niall and I can’t do that.”

“Then what are we going to do?” I asked her.

“Do you trust me to do what’s right?” she asked me.

“Of course I trust you.” I quickly said.

“Then we need to talk to everyone together right now.” She got up off the bed and walked to the door.

“Lauren?” I said steeping in front of her, “What are you doing?”

“I’m going to tell everyone the truth.” She said, “And I need you to back me up on this; please.”

I nodded my head and stepped out of the way so that she could leave. I followed behind her.

“Everyone…” Lauren said causing everyone in the living room to look at her, “I have something to say and I’m sure that none of you is going to like it.”

“Lauren, what’s going on?” Camilla asked.

“I’m in love with both Niall and Harry.” She said causing everyone to gasp.

“I can’t help the way I feel but I can be honest with you guys about it.” I continued, “In order for everything to go back the way it was before I came in is for me to go. I’m not about to be the reason why the band doesn’t get along.”

I saw that Niall was in complete shock but he was still giving Harry a death glare.

“Don’t blame Harry for any of this because he doesn’t feel that way about me.” I said not even bothering to look at Harry, “I just needed everyone to know how I feel and that I didn’t mean to cause trouble. I’m sorry.”

I was about to head back to my room when I heard Niall call my name. I faced him and there were tears in his eyes.

“I’m so sorry Niall.” I looked him in his eyes, “I know you probably hate me but…”
