Chapter 27: Unknown Status

Niall

I have no idea where Harry and Lauren went; they disappeared again. I wish that this wasn’t a ‘date’ for them. I wish that Lauren was my girlfriend.

“Hi.” Jade said coming up behind me.

“Hey. Look Jade we need to talk.” I said.

I was tired of being afraid of what Jesy might tell the paparazzi. I know what I want and I intend on getting it one way or another.

“Talk about what?”

“Us.” I walked over to a bench with Jade and we both sat down, “In the beginning things with us were amazing. It was like I was experiencing a whole new side to the world.”

“Can I just guess where this is leading?” she asked angrily.

I nodded my head.

“You want to break up don’t you?”

“Yes.” I simply replied.

“You can’t handle seeing Lauren move on so you want to break up with me so that you can get her back?”

“That’s not it.” I stated, “I just don’t feel the same way about you as I once did before.”

“Whatever.” She stood up, “You didn’t have to invite me to this carnival to break up with me you could have just came to my house told me and it would have been okay. I should have known that you would always love Lauren.”

“Why do you think that I love Lauren?” I asked standing up beside her.

She smiled at me.

 “Jesy told me everything including your past with Lauren. You cheated on her so that you could be with me but now you’re cheating on me so that you can be with her. Let me just tell you something if you really loved Lauren you wouldn’t have cheated on her with me to begin with.”

She turned around and headed over to where the rest of Little Mix stood. They immediately engaged in conversation.

“How did it go?” Liam asked joining me by the bench.

“Decent I guess. The only problem is that she knows about Lauren and my past. I have no idea what she will do with the information.”

“At least now you can be with Lauren.”

“If she takes me back and besides I wouldn’t be able to be with her until Harry and she call it quits.”

“Don’t worry; she loves you, she’ll come back to you.”

“Speaking of Lauren have you seen her or Harry anywhere?”

“Look; they're f right there heading this way.” Liam pointed them out.

“Thanks.” I said as I began to walk over to them.

“Hey Niall.” Harry said as I approached them.

Lauren looked like she had been crying.

“Lauren, are you okay?” I asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” She said not looking me in the eye.

“Did something happen?” I asked.

“No.” Harry said a little too fast.

I looked at them suspiciously.

“Then why won’t you look me in the eye?” I asked Lauren.

She looked up at me and gave me a small smile.

“I’m fine Niall I promise.”

“Well in that case I have some good news.” I smiled at her as she waited for me to tell her, “I broke up with Jade.”

Harry

He actually did it; he broke up with Jade. Just when I thought that Lauren and I actually had a shot at a real relationship he takes my advice and breaks up with her.

“Wow that’s great for you.” Lauren said.

“I did it because I finally realize that it doesn’t matter what Jesy tells the paparazzi as long as I have you by my side.” Niall touched Lauren’s face gently.

“I don’t know what to say.” She said, “I want to believe that this could mean a new beginning for us but at the same time something in the back of my head is telling me not to trust you. You have hurt me so many times…”

“Lauren, please just give me one more chance. I promise that I won’t hurt you anymore.” He begged.

“You shouldn’t make promises that you aren’t sure you can keep.” She said then walked away.

Niall looked heart broken.

“I don’t know what to do.” Niall addressed me.

“Just give her time I’m sure she’ll come around.” I said trying to help my friend out even though a part of me was hoping that she wouldn’t come around.

“I guess.” He said giving in to the fact that Lauren needed time.

We walked over to where everyone but Little Mix was.

“What happened to Little Mix?” I asked Zayn as we walked up to everyone.

“They went home to help Jade get through the break up.” He answered plainly.

“Well then maybe we should head home. I think that we’ve had enough excitement tonight.” I looked over at Lauren who blushed a little.

“I think you’re right.” Ally said, “I guess we’ll see you guys later?”

“Yeah, we’ll stop by tomorrow to see our favorite girls.” I winked and Lauren smiled.

Everyone began hugging each other. I hugged all the other girls before I hugged Lauren.

“Goodnight Harry. Thank you for everything.” She whispered in my ear as we hugged.

“Any day.” I whispered back.

Afterwards she went over and hugged Niall who kissed her on her cheek and she blushed. I wanted to turn around so that I wouldn’t have to see him kiss her but I didn’t want everyone to ask why I didn’t want to look.

We went our separate ways and headed home. After all the drama today I needed a long nap.
