Chapter 26: Are you with me?

*Two days later*

Lauren

Harry and I are going to the carnival for our first date. I was really looking forward to just talking to Harry about he felt about us kissing for the cameras and pretending to be a couple. I wanted to see if he was okay with me kissing him. It was just supposed to be us two.

I can’t believe that Harry invited the rest of Fifth Harmony, One Direction and Little Mix. I didn’t have a big problem with him inviting my friend and his friends but then he had to go and invite Little Mix. This was supposed to be a fake date made to look real. How real is it going to look with our friends tagging along?

This night is going to go horribly wrong I can feel it.

“Ready?” Ally asked coming in my room.

“As ready as I’ll ever be.” I smiled at her.

“You look gorgeous.” Ally said trying to make me feel less nervous.

“Thanks but it’s not like me looking nice is going to help when disaster strikes.” I said, “We should head out. Don’t want to be late for my ‘date’.”

She giggled a little and we walked out of my room and joined the rest of the girls in the living room.

“You look nice.” Dinah said.

“What’s with you guys complimenting me on the way I look?” I asked, “Never mind, let’s just go.”

*At the carnival*

We were greeted by One Direction and Little Mix once we got to the carnival. I immediately walk over to Harry and hug him. I would have hugged Niall but he’s with Jade and I have to learn to accept that. If he didn’t want to be with her he wouldn’t be with her.

“Hi.” Harry hugged me back.

I pulled away and asked if he was ready for this he nodded and smiled at me causing me to get butterflies in my stomach. I didn’t know why I was nervous; I’m usually pretty comfortable around Harry.

“Hi Lauren.” Jade said stepping in front of me.

“Hi.” I said, “Bye.”

I tried to walk around her but she got in the way.

“I want to apologize for slapping you.” She said.

“Okay.” I said, “But if you don’t mind I didn’t come here to hear you apologize I came here to have fun with my boyfriend so if you’ll excuse us.”

I pulled Harry by the arm and dragged him further into the carnival. I didn’t want anyone to follow us.

“Are you okay?” he asked trying to keep pace with me.

“I thought that this was supposed to be just you and me.” I said stopping and looking at him.

“I didn’t realize that you just wanted to hang out with me.” He said.

“I just wanted to see how you were feeling about the whole thing with us. Are you okay with kissing me from time to time?” I asked looking at the ground, “I just want to make sure that us ‘dating’ is okay with you.”

“Of course it is.” He placed his hand underneath my chin and made me look him in the eyes, “want me to prove it?’

“How would you do that?” I asked him.

A smile slowly came onto his lips before he leaned down and kissed me on my lips gently. I kissed him back without even thinking about it. When he pulled away I was disappointed.
