~Chapter Eighteen~

Winter sighed as she walked up the mountain side to her old house. She knew that she was going to be scolded for leaving, perhaps even gaining a stern lecture from Emiko, and right now all she really wanted to do was sit down in the living room and stare at the fireplace for hours on end.

She opened the wooden door silently and took off her boots setting them in the mudroom before rolling her shoulders back, walking into the main part of the house. Tapping her foot with her arms crossed across her chest, Emiko looked at her with sharp grey eyes. She let out an inaudible sigh, getting ready for the lecture. "I understand that you are used to going off on your own and not having to worry about much, but you are now considered a rouge ninja with orders to detain, and even kill you, on sight. And you thought it'd be a good idea to just waltz into your old village without a second thought?!"

"Yes, yes I did."

Emiko rolls her eyes, "Unbelievable." Winter walks past her and pats her shoulder, sitting down on the couch next to a sulking Ja'far. "You should have more faith in me. Besides it's not like they could sense I was there, my chakra's basically at the level of an average academy student."

"Another problem we need to address." Emiko says walking in front of the two. "We have gotten quite a bit of information on Septor Eight from the Akatsuki, in return we've given them some money for funds seeing how two of their members passed away. Also, Ja'far has joined us."

"Oh, well there's a shock." Winter mutters sarcastically, in a much better mood than she had been for the past couple of months. She leans back into the couch and looks at Emiko evenly. "Okay, hit me with all of it." The purple haired woman takes a deep breath before starting.

"Septor Eight is divided into eight sections, no surprise there. Each section is headed by a general going from one to seven. The final sector, sector eight, is lead by their overall leader deemed the "Emperor". All seven generals have special skills that help them stand out from their comrades and also are basically the heads of each section. Each general is numbered to show their strength, number one being the weakest and with number seven being the strongest. They are known as the Seven Generals of the World. Quite a lofty title if you ask me.

Anyways we have discerned that most of them have ties from the Shadow Village and the Emperor is without a doubt from the Shadow Village. Three of the seven are women, the rest are males. We have the names of five with the other two unknown. Any information of the Emperor is nearly impossible to find meaning that when we got against him, or her, that we will be going in blind.

We know the location of General One and General Five. One is nicknamed the 'Blue Flash' and is said to have speed rivaling that of Konoha's Yellow Flash though not quite as fast. His name is Isamu and he was an orphan that was taken in by a citizen couple from the Mist who moved to the Shadow. Excels in long range combat and doesn't have any special abilities other than his speed. He has an arrange of Lighting Jutsu.

Five is one of the female generals known as Kaede Nakajima. She is the illegal daughter of a Kiri official and a Suna ninja. Neither wanted her and she was tossed around between the two villages so she left, became a bounty hunter who became known as Kurayami no Monsutā or Monster of the Dark. Said to posses 'demon-like chakra' and works for the highest bidder. And currently the Emperor had the best money for her, or at least that's the only reason she would think to work for him. Excels in hand to hand combat and can use Shadow, Lightning and Wind jutsu. Most likely, due to her nickname, she uses Shadow the most."

Winter nods slowly and stares into the flickering fire, deep in thought. Emiko waits patiently and Winter licks her lips before speaking.

"We're going to make an example out of Isamu. Show their organization that someone knows they exist and to plant a seed of fear in them. Then we'll go after their other generals one by one, at random times with no specific pattern. We will all wear our cloaks and have one mask we will get made four times, so it'll seem like we can be in several places at once.

You cut off the head, the body isn't going to last for long. We'll destroy them sector by sector and save the Emperor for last. We can go in numerical order or randomize it, I don't care as long as we get the job done."

She runs a hand through her hair before continuing on. "Ja'far and Daiki will start collecting as much information on the Generals as they can, make sure to track them down without letting them know we can find them. Learn their weaknesses, discover their strengths and find the key to each one of their downfalls.

I will go after General One."

She raised a hand as they both started to protest, Daiki finally coming out of the kitchen and sitting down. "I don't care what you guys think of my current situation, I am going after General number one." She drops her hand and looks at Emiko.

"I have a very specific job I want you to do. The Akatsuki has someone who can see the dead, do they not?" Emiko nods and Winter plows on. "Then get them over here. Blindfold them, knock them out so they don't know the way, I don't care. I want to figure out how I buried Jafar's body and he is sitting next to me with a beating heart. I want them to look at each grave, to see who actually died and who didn't.

You two escaped because you weren't in the village at the time of the attack. Spread out, find any others who might've survived and bring them back here if they still wish to return to their home. If not erase their memories so they don't remember you or realize that the Storm Village is reforming.

Finally, once the Akatsuki member has done her thing send them the rest of the money we promised then cut off all ties with that organization."

Emiko nods committing the words to memory. Winter looks around and smiles lightly, "We're entering the greatest time period lady and gentlemen. We are going to show the world that Storm ninjas can perceiver, that we are much stronger than they ever thought."

She stands up and the other follow suit, the four ninjas standing in a square. Hands are put in the center, stacking on top of each other. "No blood. No bone. No ash!"

Glass shattered and rained down making shouts of surprise ring out, a man making a speech pausing as a loud slam echoed around the concrete meeting room. "Oh I'm sorry, did I step on your big moment? I can walk outside and reenter the room if you'd like." The red cloaked figure stated nonchalantly as she firmly pressed her foot into the face of the subordinate with navy blue attire on. He didn't stir from his unconscious state and she propped a hand on her hip, letting a smirk curl her lips upwards, knowing that no one could see her face, as she gazes over the congregation of ninjas.

"Who the hell are you?" The man standing on the podium spits out, light blue hair cropped short on top of his head with a navy blue cloak on, the kanji for one clearly printed across the back.

Found you, General.

"Me?" She presses a hand against her chest and lifts her heat upwards so they could all see her. A white ceramic mask covers her face with red designs covering parts of it. It only has one eye hole and through that they could see the glint of hard turqoise. Her words are spoken with a mixture of spite, rage and amusement thought all of it was coated with enough malice to send shivers down every attendee's spine.

"Why I am your worst nightmare come to life."

I am planning on doing a Christmas special (which won't affect the story in anyway) and I'm wondering if you guys would like it set in an AU universe with no chakra and such, so they'd be high school students, or just keep it in the original setting.

Or would you like to see both?

Let me know :)
