~Chapter Forty-One~
Mouths gaping open, the fighting shinobi stare at the group looming overhead. Lighting strikes more of the fusion beings, a harsh wind picking up. Without warning an entire field of lighting strikes all over where the group stood, the light blinding. When the electricity faded an entire army stood in front of the boulder, part of the army fading back behind the boulder. They all wore varying shinobi attire, but their hi-aties were that of the 'deceased' Storm Village.
Winter strides forward, her cloak whispering in the wind as it swirls around her ankles and flares up in the sky. "I thought you'd want some reinforcements."
Naruto couldn't stop staring at the black haired kunoichi. She looked... different. She was still the same Winter— long black hair, red and black clothing, one eye covered with bandages, her katana's resting securely on her back —but there was an aura about her. An aura of power, not the wild uncontained power that she used to have, but an aura of a seasoned warrior who knew how to use all the weapons in her arsenal.
Winter smiled a wicked smile in the direction of Madara Uchiha, who simply looked back at her with his arms folded against his chest, his gaze stoney. Clearing her throat, Winter took a few steps back. "You all know what to do." And then she sprinted forward, jumping off the boulder. She hit the ground running, her hair streaming out behind her like a black abyss swallowing up light. The others on the boulder moved as well, jumping off and following suit.
The Allied Shinobi forces watched with wide eyes as Winter Ookami descended into the barrier, her katanas appearing in her grasp. To her left was a white haired, young man, red wires snaking up his arms. Blue mist swirled around his body in streams, the mist rising to protect him each time a fusion being attempted to strike him.
A girl with brilliant wings landed in a crouch next to a group of injured shinobi, her eyes bright as she started to heal them. A man that looked similar to her wielded a sharp sword, making sure that no creatures would get near his sister as she healed the wounded.
Water splashed against several of the fusion beings as a woman with lilac hair and scales hissed, her sharpened teeth glinting as she tore through the beings like they were paper. Guarding her back, a man with teal hair used a variety of taijutsu, each move powerful and precise. Just a few feet away, a purple haired woman used black mist to suffocate the beings, a man with ever changing eyes and pale hair using smoke to do the same.
And lastly, a male version of Winter stood outside the barrier, watching the battle, his mind calculating and creating strategies.
The Storm Shinobi dispersed amongst the allied shinobi forces, offering their services where needed, and getting ready to fight. Even though the army was small, it was clear that they were very in sync with each other, and that they were trained well. The Allied Shinobi forces welcomed them with open arms.
Large columns of smoke issued from near the front lines, three huge summonings coming out to play. There was a frog, a snake, and a slug. The three sannin students were prepared to pull out all the stops, their faces full of determination. Winter smirked, skidding back, her katana's sparking with lighting. His back pressed against hers, Ja'far wields his wire and blade combo with deadly precision. "That looks rather fun, don't you think?" She asks, her mind whirring with possibilities.
"Summoning giant animals? I don't think that we have the same definition of fun." He replies, a dome of blue mist rising up to protect the duo from attacks. "Besides, there's still a lot of this beings to get through."
She smirks slowly, bringing her hand up to her mouth and biting her thumb. "So why don't we speed things up?"
Her slender fingers weave a few complex signs before she slams her hand onto the ground. "Summoning Jutsu!" She straightens up, the smoke clearing. In its place is two twin wolves, their elemental forms bright in the dreary setting. "Tempest. Tsunami." She greets the wolves, sheathing her katanas.
"I suppose I'll have to summon her won't I?" Ja'far mutters, biting his thumb.
A flare of chakra from behind her shows that Ja'far had summoned an animal as well. Cackling with glee, an albino hyena straightens up. Her fur is a pure white, cream spots dotting along the ridge of her spine. A dark black spot is situated around her right eye, her powerful jaws sheathing insanely sharp teeth. At a height of ten foot two, with a wicked scar down the right side of her face, Ja'far's most vicious summon was a sight to behold. Muji— short for Mujihina —was his only summoning that Ja'far rarely summoned outside of a battle where he was going to kill.
The reason?
Well just like her name suggested, Muji was merciless. She was also cunning, bloodthirsty, and had a nasty habit of tearing her enemy into literal shreds. She was hard to control, simply because she was headstrong and a bit... well crazy. She wasn't called Muji the White Demon for kicks.
"You see those creatures?"
The spotted hyena sniffs as if she has been insulted. "I may look different than others of my kind, but I sure as hell ain't blind idiot. Of course I can see them."
She also had a temper and was usually itching for a fight. "Kill them all." He orders, a harsh wind picking up. Her mismatched eyes gleam with bloodlust.
"Ooh, it's been awhile since you've given me so much control. Tell me, Ja'far honey, do you want them shredded or burned?" She lowers her head, a cackle issuing from her. "Actually, don't answer that. I'm going to do both." With a vicious snarl, Muji dashed into the fray, her powerful jaws and sharp teeth making quick work of the fusion beings.
Meanwhile, Winter gets on top of Tempest, gripping a few tufts of fur in her hands. "Let's do what we do best."
The war raged on. Fusion beings were taken down only to pop right back up. Naruto and Sasuke managed to land a solid hit on the Ten Tails, only to have the creature cut off the limb that was burning with Amaterasu. Obito's return to the battlefield brought a sense of shock to the shinobi, and his presence spurred Madara into telling the younger Uchiha some sort of speech.
Winter didn't really care if she was being honest. She'd unsummoned Tsunami in favor of Hogo-Sha, her largest summon that didn't ask for a price when she asked him to fight for her. The twelve foot tall red wolf with golden tipped ears was hard to miss, especially when he shifted into his elemental form, which was fire. His enemies usually ended up as a pile of ash. Right now her only concern was taking down the fusion beings.
A large boom makes her duck her head, her eye widening when she realizes that the Ten Tails is no longer visible. "Please tell me that the Ten Tails was magically kicked off this planet and is now in a different solar system." She mutters, her katanas held warily out in front of her.
Obito Uchiha rises, a wicked grin on his face.
"Aw hell no." She lets out a sound of frustration as she takes in the transformed man. "He did not just become a Jinchuriki." As she looked at the chakra swirling around him, the way the air pulsated with power, a single thought circulated throughout her mind.
Things just become a lot more complicated.
I now have two google docs just for this story. The other google docs was having a ton of trouble since there were so many pages.
I have started on the manga drawing btw. I think you guys are going to really like it hehe.
I work all of next week but hopefully I'll have some time to crank out a few more chapters before school starts *shudders* maybe I should just quit school and live in my parent's basement for life, and write on Wattpad forever and ever.
