(Well, I'm back! Long time no see. Really, I would use an excuse but I hate when people do that so I'm just going to say, sorry.)
I walked through New York to the Journal Building. Ok, maybe walk isn't the right word, I ran. "Max! Max!" I called. I walked into the building. "Wow."
The building was huge, with beautiful paintings everywhere. "Wow, if they payed the newsies a fraction of what they spend on this building, we would be rich," I mumble.
I walked up to the front desk. "Pardon me," I quietly say. The women at the desk, who didn't look too happy to be there, looked up with a discussed look.
"Can I help you?" She asked.
"My name is Sam, I'm looking for Max," I say.
"Max?" she laughs. "Nice try."
"But-," I start.
"Security!" she calls.
They grab my arms and throw me out the door. I fall into a mud puddle. "Great," I mumble as I stand up. "Now what?" Just then, I catch Max in the crowed. "Max!" I yell as I run up to him.
"Sam! What happened to you," he says stepping away from me a bit.
"I tried to see you in your dad's office, but got thrown out. But, that doesn't matter. I need a favor," I say.
"Sure, Sam. What's up?"
I sigh. "I need you to come to Medda's tonight and flirt with a girl."
Max looks perplexed. "Say again?"
"There is a girl. Her name is Cat and she is from Harlem. She dates a boy and I want to get her back," I explain.
"But, Sam," he says grabbing my hands. "You have me. Why do you care about her?"
"Let's just say, she dates a friend and I don't want him go get hurt. I heard this girl hangs out with a lot of boy and cheats a lot. I want to expose her to my friend to keep him safe." I look up at him. "Please?"
Max sighs. "Sam, I don't know."
I put on my best puppy dog face. "Please Max?" I give him a kiss on the lips. "For me?"
Max rolls his eyes and smiles. "Fine. But just for you!"
I smile big. "Thank you Max!" I kiss him quick before I start to run off.
"Where are you going?" he yells after me.
"Harlem! Don't forget to be at Medda's at seven tonight! Don't be late!"
